    Although this might be a great step, I ordered mine in February, and now it's June and they still haven't shipped mine. Keep getting the email saying next month, next month. I'm about done with Lippert!

      Yeah he totally does. He still can't do it by himself but it's easier.

    One more thing did you have to modify the doors to get them to close properly?

    How hard was it to attach the Hydraulic arm, my neighbors said they had a hell of a time uninstalling and reinstalling.

      I thought it was pretty easy...🤷‍♂️ we did it while boondocking with limited tools.

    Awesome vid guys!!! I am sure this will save me a few steps. About to purchase till I got to Assist lift. I have a door close to the Assist will fit. how far away from the wall does it stick out? Might be an issue.

    • @AdventureEndeavor
      @AdventureEndeavor  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sticks out 5inches. In into the trailer. It's also about 3 in wide.

    Replaced our original steps on our Jayco this past spring. Only a 2-stepper, but what a difference. Like Melissa, I saw them everywhere at a camper show two years ago and knew we had to have them. You really notice the difference in stability when 5 grandkids are in and out all day long. And, YES, the install was as easy as it looked. Great job!

    How high is the door off of the ground? I think that would be very important information. Mine is 36 Inches so I am not sure if I should go with the 3 or 4 steps. Mine at present has the same steps you do 3 plus the top.

    • @AdventureEndeavor
      @AdventureEndeavor  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I believe ours was 29 inches, when you order you'll need that info. There's a chart to figure that all out. Or you can always call.

    • @Beast2011ps
      @Beast2011ps 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@AdventureEndeavor Thanks for your reply, I did look at the chart but I don't know if the 3 steps have a maximum reach of 36''. I will call Lippert and see what they recommend. At present my fifth wheel is level and it measures 36'' so I am not sure if the 3 steps will handle that on uneven ground, which is mostly what you will find in the New Mexico mountians.

    • @AdventureEndeavor
      @AdventureEndeavor  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Oh gotcha I THINK that they would but better to call and be safe.

    What about dirt on the steps. It seems if you don’t clean them real good you are gonna dump in your trailer. I got the 22h and step is the only thing I don’t like.

    • @AdventureEndeavor
      @AdventureEndeavor  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's a good point, the back of the steps are open so a lot of the dirt just falls out. We just give them a tap/smack when lifting and they are good to go. You could also brush excess dirt off with a broom. 🙂

    Awesome, thank you for sharing. How does the door close when the steps are stowed for travel and is there a difference on how the door closes when the steps are down?

    • @AdventureEndeavor
      @AdventureEndeavor  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Angel! No issues with the door closing when stowed because the metal tab that holds them in place provides plenty of clearance. However, when setting up at camp, you do have to adjust the feet so the steps sit low enough for the door to clear. It's a minor annoyance and in one spot we did have to dig the dirt down a little but we personally feel it's worth the trade off! Thanks for watching.

    Thank you so much for the video, I am so glad you have a Nash , the boondocking and the places where you go gives me a chance to experience the view and lifestyle. I hope in a couple of years God willing if I make it to retirement i Could travel out that way. Ps was on Northwood website and said to myself hey there's a picture of your rig so cool.

    So the one thing that seems to be a possible problem with those steps is that you bring in dirt, mud, snow and ice when you put them up. Any thoughts on that? And or solutions to that problem?

    • @AdventureEndeavor
      @AdventureEndeavor  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah that seems to be a common question. When we lift them we just give them a small tap/smack and everything falls out the back of the step. We haven't noticed any extra dirt in the rig.
