Rory Gallagher, pound for pound, might just be the finest guitarist of all time. He just delivers every single time. Couldn’t do no wrong. What a fantastic talent, and great singer, to boot! 😎
Just for clarification, Ben Tucker wrote the instrumental version of the song "Comin' Home Baby!", first issued on the album Two Feet in the Gutter.[3] Bob Dorough later wrote a lyric to the song, and the vocal version became a Top 40 hit for jazz singer Mel Tormé in 1962.
It actually reminds me of Rory's early 'same old story' song. Rory had additional instrumentation on his last album, 'fresh evidence', recorded shortly after this. It was a good move to make, imho. Would've been nice to see him collaborate more.
I don't usually post an instrumental song but here is the exception. One of the best guitarist, urban legend has it that a reporter asked Jimmi Hendrix how it felt to be the worlds greatest guitar player and he said, Go ask Rory.
Rory Gallagher is King. In my top three favorite guitar players of all time. With Roy Buchanon and.....? And the third of my top three is really hard to choose. It's a toss up between Freddy King and Samantha Fish. Thanks for sharing something new with me. Big ups. Peace.
I have never heard this until today, I'm totally blown away.
Glad you enjoyed the song. He was the best guitarist of his time.
@rdrokitpower-rockblues That's for sure!

He needed a solid band behind him. Not sure why Taste disbanded. I guess Rory thought he would do better solo. Thanks for listening.
Rory was a magician
A timeless sound. Rory's virtuosity will never age.
Great music never gets old
Great Rory jamming with the Chris Barber jazz band!

Genial tema, y que poco se le valora.
Where did this come from? I don't find it on my copy of Blues.
The instrumental song "Comin' Home Baby" is the 11th song of the 3rd CD from the album Rory Gallagher Blues (Deluxe) released in 2019.
maximus..,
Without the lyrics, this is so repetitive...
And magical...
