I prefer Liang to Hugo, but both are really good and are some of my favourite players. Even though I’m Chinese, when I watched the match between Liang and Hugo, I really didn’t know who to root for.

Why not 45 years old Vladimir Samsonov? One the world greatest players. Still ranked #36, higher than many younger players mentioned.

Timo's career overlaped with the period when China had absolute dominance. At almost all times Timo was facing 3 Chinese players at his level, if not margianlly higher. Plus the Chinese players had world class coaches and practice partners who know every little detail about Timo's game. He still managed to put up a decent fight. What a legend

Liang and Hugo are very close, but a feel Hugo is better. Even though he lost the recent match he has more achievements in his career.

I feel that hugo is better than liang, but I understand why you did not put him as the best player at his age.
The game between the two remind me of the games between maze and hao shuai and maze vs wang hao in the 2005 wttc. Was maze better than them? Hard to say
