How I Got Rid of a "Nose Piercing Bump" in ONE WEEK! (UPDATE)

  • Hi!!
    I has the annoying "nose bump" for nearly a year. I didnt think I would be able to get rid of it. I tried tea tree oil, 'normal' salt and water, aspirine paste, etc. Anything you've looked up, I have probably tried.
    I knew it had to be simple! I saw so many people post about salt water taking it away but it wasnt working for me.
    Table salt does NOT work!! Don't just use any salt. Trust me, I did. Different kinds as well. My mom had regular sea salt, fine, chunky.
    I did more research and finally went to the store, paid literally 1$ and got rid of it in one week.
    The magic ingredient is simply, NON-IODIZED salt. I specifically used non-iodized sea salt.
    STEPS:
    1. Grab a q-tip and soak it in clean water
    2. Dip it in a small pile of salt, just gently. The salt will grab on to the q-tip and make a small blob? (lol) of salt
    3. I put it on my nose, covering the entire bump, at night
    4. I slept with it and washed it in the morning.
    NOTE: It will sting a bit, if you have been picking at it like I did.. but nothing too bad. Trust me, its worth the result!
    Im obviously no doctor, so dont hold me to it, but it worked for me when I was desperate (close to taking my piercing out completely).
    LET ME KNOW IF IT HELPS PLEASE!!! ID LOVE TO HEAR UPDATES!

    I tried the aspirin salt tea tee paste and it made mine worse. As soon as I went back to basics by cleaning it, doing the soak, and making a salt paste (I used the Himalayan pink I had); my bump went away. I was so happy.

    Use sea salt paste if it’s infected and aspirin paste if it’s just a bump from trauma or scarring

    hey i’ve got an infection and i created a salt paste, i used table salt but the ingredients were Salt, Anti-caking Agent: Sodium Ferrocyanide. Is this iodised or not ? i left the paste on overnight and the bump slightly decreased but it’s a dark red colour

    Don’t use a paste to clean a piercing. Ever. 1/4 tsp of non-iodised sea salt to 8oz of warm distilled water. Apply it to a non woven gauze and use it as a compress on the piercing twice daily for 10 minutes at a time over the duration of the healing process. That and patience will take care of 99% of the bumps and irritation that can form around piercings.

    I started to get a really bad infection as soon as I changed my titanium nose ring to 14k gold. I was doing tons of research and doing many trials. The bump lasted for 4 months (luckily I didn’t have to go places). I found that mixing water with crushed up aspirin and Himalayan pink salt with a drop of tea tree oil mixed together was working but it still kept coming back. The culprit was having the gold in my nose. I bought stainless steel nose bones from amazon and used the paste and now the bump is completely gone

      Wait a lot longer. I changed mine 4 times within two days and then again a couple weeks later and my bump has stayed almost a millimeter and a half tall for over a month. Hoops are bad for healing but it's better to just leave it. Constantly changing it tears the tissue and leaves scarring.

    I was struggling with the bump, and I came across your video and decided to try your method. My bump was past the top of my stud, it was so gross, I needed it gone.
    The only thing I did differently was did a couple second hot press on the site before I applied the sea salt paste, and I did the paste before I went to bed and/or at times I was not leaving my house.
    It worked wonderfully! It disappeared in less than two weeks. Thank you for posting this l! (:

I have had a bleeding bump on my nose for about a month. It progressed to a point where there was a constant scab and anything I did resulted in bleeding. Even a simple cleaning. Waking up in the morning I was guaranteed a streak of blood down my nose and pink flesh popping out. Then I saw this video and tried the salt water paste over night and the swelling went down like nothing I had experienced!!!!! I tried aspirin paste the next night and the scab on my nose was gone. Now there’s just a tiny bump there. I’m going to continue this routine and see what happens. Thank you so much :))))))

      I have not tried that brand. Its just important that it says it does "NOT supply iodide." I am no professional or doctor so all I can tell you is what worked for me. NO IODIDE is key !! Good luck

    Hi, how do you make this paste ?

    • @daisiesdaisy
      @daisiesdaisy  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Miriam Rodriguez it's just a Q tip dipped in water and then dipped into a small pile of non iodized sea salt. The water on the Q tip will just pick up the salt and clump it. I just put that on the bump.

    How did your bump disappear? it just went down slowly? I have been trying this method for 4 days now and it became crusty and skin around the piercing is peeling off.

    • @daisiesdaisy
      @daisiesdaisy  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      fung li
      Yes! It gradually went down!
      I had picked at mine a lot so it was not cute. I had a scab but it slowly went down and peeled off! Please let me know if you need help!
      I did it once a day (at night)
      Left it while slept and rinsed it off in the morning!

    • @daisiesdaisy
      @daisiesdaisy  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Zehra J I don't think you should. If you go to a licensed piercer, they should give you the appropriate jewelry to wear. I found a normal stud piercing to be the easiest to take care of. You can easily clean around it without the hassle of a hoop in the way

    So I finally got around to trying this, was applying the salt 2-3 times daily and just leaving it on... it DID help for sure, the bump went down, however it's been about a week now and although it has certainly went down in size it's still there. really small now but almost like an inflated small bump now... and im wondering, the people that DID get the bump to go away completely, what did you do to get rid of the extra skin to rid it completely? did it just come off by itself? or did you have to rub it off ? lol or what
