I went into the movie not knowing a thing about it other than it's a "multiverse" movie. The movie left me bawling. Loved every moment of the movie.

We almost got a spit take out of you! I think people gravitate to this movie because it pulls out something emotionally for each person based on what you have experienced in life. The movie is done in a way that multiple views and analysis are necessary. Glad you chose to watch it on your channel!

This is my new favorite movie of all time! My buddy and I saw it 7 times in the theater alone. You asked to say what I got out of it. Well its about a lot of things!
    - The power of kindness
    - The value of family
    - Don't let the 'chaos of life' make you lose focus on what really matters, love, family and kindness for all!
    - Choosing to focus on the good in all situations even if you have to cultivate that good yourself. (googly eyes, cookies for tax lady etc)
    - Overcoming intergenerational trauma
    - Learning to accept yourself, the good and the bad, and others

I love the cuts that you made!! In just less than 30mins you reviewed a 2+ hour movie that’s crazy! And also the small delay between your reaction and the cuts was a nice touch to save up time. Love your videos💕💕

I stopped watching them for maybe stupid reasons but they kind of rub me the wrong way now. It's a bummer cause I really liked most of what I watched of theirs.

Stopped watching them for PT Barnum reasons...? 😊
I still like those guys but I have checked out of other channels and creators completely based on one thing that they said or did that just didn't sit well.
I don't think you're being silly about it!

One movie I definetely recommend for you is The Northman. Alongside Top Gun Maverick it is definetely the best movie to come out in long time. Filled with Norse mythos and history.

  • @davidparker4199

There is so much loaded into this movie that most don’t ever think about.
Evelyn is the result of the 1 child policy in China, gong gong wanted a son “sorry it’s a girl” is a reflection of the societal and personal expectations that you would have a son to pass your life onto. He never excepted her, then she picked a weird goofy man and they had a single girl. Culturally he would have felt that something was wrong with him for not having a boy or a grandson. Now his only grandchild is seeing a … girl. His overly critical attitude record her as a reminder of his personal curse then found its home on joys shoulders.

    • @sifu2u_now

Wow...I watched this when it first came into the big screen without knowing anything about it.
You point about the 1 child policy and expecting a Son to carry on the family, but in the end, the grandpa still accept his lesbian granddaughter is so on point. Didn't see it that way until I saw this comment.
      Thank you.

I follow a number of movie critics, so I was too hyped for this movie, and ended up being disappointed. I recognize the colossal amount of work that went into every sequence, and the casting and acting were on point. The tonal whiplash was just too great for me to enjoy. I could definitely re-watch and enjoy sequences from this movie, but I don't think I could sit through the entire thing again.
