    Zeth once again you have shown you are a true Master Technician! A Tech who looks after his tools will always look after their customers equipment! A Tech who has a correct range of tools & equipment will also have the skills to look after a vast variety of equipment! A Tech who cares & cleans his tools and cleans up after themselves will leave his customers equipment usually cleaner than they found it! A Tech who has made the investment in his tools and equipment to this scale and has all these attributes is usually a team player and will encourage others to always do their best and all of this is because they have Pride in what they do. Zeth you have all of these qualities which shine through in everything I have seen you do! Proud to follow your channel.

    this was literally 50 minutes of heaven. I have to admit nice to see a selection of stuff as well, some expensive some less so. You can always tell an experienced person on the tools yknow? You use what works and lasts, what name is printed on the side doesnt matter so much as long as it works.

    I need to do a video of a man I know that's been doing heavy equipment for decades. Does not own a single Snap on piece. Mostly Husky and Gearwrench. Sometimes he buys new sets just because he likes the mto stay shiney not because anything is wrong with them. With the amount of money he saves from NOT buying snap on he can do that for fun. So I followed his lead. I buy MIlwaukee/DeWalt and Husky. If I break one, its 5 min to HD to swap it out, which in 5 years only broke one socket cause I used it for a impact lol but hey it's just a personal choice. You do you. I am actually glad you do well enough that you can afford a 150K truck and 200K in tools.

    • @justsomeguy--

      Worked with one of them guys, had 3 sets of everything. No Hazard Fraud for over 100 miles was the reason. Hated tool trucks. He went once a month to replace the broken and lost stuff. If you want to jerk wrenches for a living, and supply your own tools, you will pay one way or the other.

    • @mikel9567
      @mikel9567 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If your using your tools to make money and rely on them day in and day out, I would definitely be investing in quality tools and not having an attitude of "oh I'll just go down to HD and get a new one." I'm not dissing on any brand, hell I have Harbor Freight tools as well as Husky and Kobalt. But I'm not making money with my tools either and they aren't my livelihood. When I worked in telecommunications the company supplied the technical tools or us, but the everyday common tools had to be supplied by us. Big difference between buying cheap and buying quality.

      @davidb.5807 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      What is interesting is what different mechanics take with them on service calls. I'm a "kitchen sink" type mechanic, but I have seen some guys do calls with whatever they fit in a toolbag and that's it.

      Out of the hundreds of different tools I own the only own one snap on tool and it is a feeler gauge for adjusting the air gap on points and condensers. Most of my tools are either Sears/Craftsman or Harbor freight
      Snap on is just extremely over rated and expensive

    Nice tour man.. does the truck run all day and how is it holding up… love to see a tour of the truck engine area and how the fuel economy is, miles and what problems if any you’ve encountered with the trans/engine etc👍👍👍

      Thank you. Well the truck gets 10 mpg empty or loaded lol. It’s only got 23k miles so no problems so far.

    Awesome collection of tools. Do you have to purchase most of your own, does your employer supply them or give a tool allowance? I'm an automotive tech. We purchase our own. The shop buys special tools, scanners, A/C equipment, etc.

    I've been a Deere tech for 13 years. My service vehicle is a GMC 2500 van, which is not nearly big enough. Haven't been able to talk them into a nicer truck yet, not that I haven't asked. I might just have to buy my own.

      Yeah I think you’d be better off switching companies before forking up that amount of cash.

      @@ZKMasterTech How long have you been with Sloan's? How long have you been in this truck? I like to keep my tools in clean, like new condition, if I can help it. I worry about rain and moisture with a truck service body. I work at one of your competitors in Wisconsin. But my family has a decent size dairy farm also. I'd rather not have to by two of everything, but they won't let me take my truck home overnight unless there is a service call close by. It has crossed my mind to maybe try and find a retired tool truck and turn it into a mobile shop.

      I have been with Sloan’s for 11 years and I’ve been in that truck since 2019. When I need to work on stuff at home I just fill my personal truck with what tools I think I’ll need plus some extra just in case. But if I’ve got a major project I can take my service truck home.
