Go to my sharpening tips video series and I demonstrate that! I believe I also have a video specifically on how to clamp full flat grind Spydercos all in my sharpening playlist. It’s much easier for me to show you than to try and explain it on a comment.
Wait a minute sorry man it says it right there. My dumbass just needed to take a minute and read it… do they still sell this knife? it says discontinued
@@GringoBandito11 this was an exclusive version of the Shaman available from The Cutlery Shoppe. Unfortunately they only make so many in a run so it’s not available any more. The Cutlery Shoppe could order some more but I don’t think they plan on it.
All depends on the circumstances. Usually ends up being closer to pivot-tip. If you go to my sharpening playlist and watch my sharpening tips videos, I go over how I decide where I want to clamp it. In general for spyderco, I try to get clamp it in the center of the cutting edge portion of the blade where the stone will be parallel with the ricaso so I can sharpen the entire edge with out tearing up the ricaso. Getting the blade clamped securely where its not moving or wobbling is first priority though!
Do you think the KME is just as good as the TSPROF? I watched your other videos when you were using the KME and decided to get that one. It should be arriving anytime now.
@SharpestEdge similar to A8mod... It's a mid carbon steel with high toughness and good edge stability. 8% Chromium so very stain resistant. Very very easy to sharpen. Excellent for large choppers & swords where toughness matters.

Hey Sean, how do you prefer to clamp your blades, say a Spyderco PM2. Do you prefer to draw a line from heel to tip or a line from pivot to tip?

Thanks for your quick answer bud, really appreciate it.
@zuril.5277 you’re welcome!
Need me some more XHP!

Kme is more user friendly and I can get just as good results with it as I can with my tsprof. I think kme is a great choice!
@@BLADESANDFADESOFFICIAL hell yeah thanks man. Appreciate the response bud. And I like your vids by the way, I always tune into them. Take it easy.
What did you use to sharpen?
I put all the details in the top of the video description! 👊🏼
What scales are on that? Thanks!
It’s my buddies knife but I believe they are Meton Boss Ti scales
Man bro I like those scales who makes those ones. I forget. Stupid sharp that shit will cut time in half 😝
Not positive, it’s my buddies knife but I think they might be Meton Boss
