I would like to make a correction and clarification to this video. First the correction. I stated that the previous versions of the 970 and 1070 were painted Flambeau Red and Desert Sunset. Flambeau Red ended with the 30 series tractors and the previous version 70 series were Power Red and Desert Sunset. With the version of the 70 Series tractors in this video, Case kept the Power Red and changed the Desert Sunset to Power White.
Now for the clarification. I stated that this brochure was put out in 1973 for 1974 model year for the rebranding of its tractors after the David Brown acquisition. I still feel that this is a true statement as 1974 is when both DB and Case tractors were all painted with this paint scheme. A viewer has pointed out to me however that the acquisition happened in 1971 and that there had been previous rebranding activities carried out between 1971 and 1974. I apologize for any confusion and will strive for accuracy in all my videos going forward.
Please reach out to me if you find any other inconsistencies or inaccuracies as I want to make the best videos that I can for you viewers!

I’ve got a David brown 990. My aunt bought it somewhere along the line of 1978 to the 80s. Work clothes are pretty dirty but still runs like a top. On the shifters, there’s a rubber boot at the bottom to guard the transmission from water and such, and one time those boots had rotted completely off so my grandpa went to go start it up in the winter, and there was 5 gallons of ice in the transmission. That’s the only thing that we absolutely hate about the Davin brown. Another thing is that it likes to drink oil so every time you’re going down the road with it at high speed the oil splashes into the cylinder.
