0 mana spells are not the worst, 2 mana or higher spells like Ice Fishing that do nothing useful and clutter up your hand are much worse.
It balances out, average cauldron rolls.

Mashed potatoes is one of the simplest and most obvious things you can do with them, whereas poutine is to my understanding the bastard child of nachos and fries from Canada. Why would anyone not be ok with mashed potatoes, or want poutine?
