When kids grow up surrounded by violence, these Dr. Suess stories aren't going to have much of an impact. This was intended to scare kids who live in scary areas everyday

The story is true. Immortal T. wasn't there. But the reason for re-telling the story is that, after this all happened, these dudes started dying. And their children. And parents. Never a word was spoken. But there was one of them that couldn't be found. His Son was murdered. And he was caught and murdered at his son's funeral. So all of them is gone. But the stories live on, in Harlem.

This is not a true story its a compilation of different stories that go on daily and he put them into one, he added himself into the story for the impact of it to make it more in your face because its easy to move on and blow off stories in the news or that you hear that are faceless, it doesnt affect you.. But when you have someone standing in front of you saying they did it, they were there now you have a face to put to it and its memorable...

However I think that even tho we've heard other rappers talk about selling drugs, robbing & killing & even witnessed for ourselves once it starts talking about rape even we are taking aback. Every1 I know that has heard this always has the same reaction the 1st time & that's that they'll be vibing to the song then the way he starts vividly taking u thru the process how they're waiting in the car for a victim they finally spot 1 so they sneak up on her & everything it makes u picture it in your mind & then when it's revealed it was his own mom it does trip u out

There’s a lot of beautiful stories out there that don’t end on positive notes. The best example is Tiananmen Square. Tragic, sad, awful ending, but it’s a beautiful story of how one person actions allowed a light to be shined on those doing evil. This story follows the same pattern, it end horribly, but there is a lesson here, the people your gang banging against are your own people, your own family members, your own community, and that it was his moms he did that to shows that you’re hurting your own community and in turn your family members

Song gives me the shivers everytime I listen. Reminds me of a kid I knew in college(high school to Americans) who was arrested for setting up a kid to arrange a meeting to sort out a petty drug debt and then stabbed him to death. I thought about stuff he used to say to me like if I want really money I should sell cocaine instead of weed which I was selling to support my own habit and talkin about how hed send his girl outside to do his sales for him. It's True the devil grows in the hearts of selfish and wicked. He was a conflicted kid now dancing with the devil on a cold cell block. Whenever I hear this song I see his face and think about him but cant remember his voice just certain sentences he said to me which was the devil showing himself in him but I never realised at the time but looking back it was obvious. I smoked a joint with him the same month he slayed an unarmed kid over £50. I wonder if he realises the devil corrupted him. Its deep I think about it a lot I was acquainted with the devil in disguise but was non the wiser at the time.

I saw him live in 2008, and he started the song by saying people ask him if this is true. . . And he said it is true cuz it happens every day. . . I think it is missing the point to obsess over how true it is from his perspective. The narrator of the story was there when it happened and that is why he is telling the story. Immortal technique is storytelling. He is speaking from the perspective of someone who doesn’t even want to tell the story cuz the narrator has his own guilt as he tells it.

In regards to "when you are asking how is it fair that God could put people in a situation where they know nothing else?"
I once heard a lady that had an NDE says that we all make it to heaven. That she was told (paraphrasing) "That God's love for you is so great. Do you think God would ever leave something he loves so much behind?
What if after this life you woke up from a dream? We have bad dreams all the time and it rarely effects our day to day. I am saying there is an understanding we don't fully have about God's "love". If I have full faith in the plan, I bet that it is not as unjust as it feels.

A fired reality that is symbolic of a mother/woman role.

I’d imagine your voice is gonna be different when you’re screaming for your life. Even if it wasn’t, the adrenaline and gassing up by his homies probably blinded William. Tunnel vision’s real.

They wrapped her head with a shirt at the very beginning and unless he knows what his mothers voice sounds like in extreme panic and terror then I'd doubt he would recognize her voice.

Also I don't think if anyone was in a situation Billy was in they'd think a woman they meet is their fucking mother immediately, if someone thought that immediately..that would be creepy in it's own way

Probably the most real, and most intense gangster rap song in history!
Also, This is not a real story, this guy is just a lyrical genius... He is still very active.
Please do yourself a favour and check out more of his music, it isn't ALL like this...
This was just a really moving masterpiece in storytelling that modern music is really missing.

I enjoyed watching two perspectives from a man and a woman on such a incredible piece of poetry portrayed through music. You mentioned something in the video that every one should take note on, you said it can happen to anyone, this is a cautionary tale.
