Why do North American bakers always use full sized cakes for Black Forest cakes? That's not how it works. One cake is cut in 3 layers. Our cakes are not miles high.
Agreed, Ashley was literally the worst of the whole class from the beginning, but it was rather obvious from the start that the win was set up for her. A childish showpiece, the easiest cake challenge from the judges, and a dry sponge and gets the victory.
Ashley might've improved BUT... no one is gonna PAY MONEY for her cakes. She's NO WHERE NEAR READY to open a bakery! People will leave reviews with 1 star just so they can comment. I've watched the judges give good reviews for splotchy icing! That's ok if your making for your family but NOT to sell or to receive $50,000!!! 😫
