Would you be able to link the reference please and also do you use the wet on wet technique? I’ve struggled with too much running into each other instead of being able to clearly show off the different values
Do you always do backgrounds for portraits? I tend to do the focal point first, but then if I do a background, I am not happy with the piece. I am a little scared to do backgrounds because of this!
Do you mean a detailed background, or a washy background like this piece? I usually just do a washy background like this piece. If you do a background my advice would be to use a colour that compliments the piece, and start off with a really light wash, and build up on it to see if I'm liking it. Its always easier to lift a light wash if you really don't like it too. :)
Awe thank you so much for even noticing! I guess i lost some of my confidence in my content and i ended up not making as much art. However its something i used to enjoy so hopefully i can do it again in the coming future! Thank you for your message :))
Hello, I get my references mainly from my Pinterest account. It is the same as my TH-cam ayart96 :) I still have the reference if you would like to see in my 'people' pin collection.
If you're too scared to 'jump in' with using a darker colour then what i recommend is to do a practice piece. Draw a circle or example fill it with the skin tone of your choice and practice adding a dark colour on top. After it dries you'll see how dark or light it is, and you can keep doing that until you feel comfortable with the process :) You can do it!!! The only way through is through, good luck!!!
@@NuraysArt thank you for that! I got my gouache today because i think watercolor is not for me lmao and it's easy to cover up mistakes so wish me luck!
I mostly use red tones, with a yellow and blue, i use the blue to mute the 'orange' and too pinkish tones, it makes it appear more earthy. But only a little blue. I guess you can just mix up the colour combinations to see what works best for you :) Maybe i can make a video on it one day!
I really wanna learn watercolor. But the wc paper here in Philippines are expensive so I can't practice very much. Everytime I try to do it, I'm scared to put dark colors and I always end up putting too much layers until the paper is ruined 😭😂 Maybe I'll try to use dark colors next time
EDIT: My instagram name is now @numoonart instagram.com/numoonart/
i think the hardest part for me to overcome is trusting the process LMAO

Wet onto dry?
A slight mixture of both, but yes i'd say i mostly work wet onto dry or just a little wet!

Ahhhh Thank you so so much!!! Im so glad you like it, and thank you for watching!!
WOWWWWWW
AweTHANK YOU!!! :)
Ey why are u not posting anymore :(( its been 3 yrs :((
Awe thank you so much for even noticing! I guess i lost some of my confidence in my content and i ended up not making as much art. However its something i used to enjoy so hopefully i can do it again in the coming future! Thank you for your message :))
@@NuraysArt we are all waiting for your comeback!! Fighting!!

Where did you get reference photo of the portrait?
Hello, I get my references mainly from my Pinterest account. It is the same as my TH-cam ayart96 :) I still have the reference if you would like to see in my 'people' pin collection.
G thanks
@@whatgamer7448 Of coure, if i can help you out in any other way let me know :)
WOW
Thank YOU!!
beautiful
Thank you so much!! :)
sht I can't do this IM SCARED TO PUT COLOR THAT IS DARK AND LITERALLY CAN MESS THE WHOLE FACE 😭😭😭Im too easily to freak out for that
If you're too scared to 'jump in' with using a darker colour then what i recommend is to do a practice piece.
@@nimbus1059 Wishing you all the luck, gouache is my fav medium hehe have fun!!
Fine
great
What are the colors of skintone?
I mostly use red tones, with a yellow and blue, i use the blue to mute the 'orange' and too pinkish tones, it makes it appear more earthy. But only a little blue. I guess you can just mix up the colour combinations to see what works best for you :) Maybe i can make a video on it one day!
I really wanna learn watercolor. But the wc paper here in Philippines are expensive so I can't practice very much. Everytime I try to do it, I'm scared to put dark colors and I always end up putting too much layers until the paper is ruined 😭😂 Maybe I'll try to use dark colors next time
Yes for sure, to improve we need to take risks and be bold! You can do it!! :D
