You are one of the few teachers on YT and artists I’ve known to use oil painting methods in watercolour - starting with dark and moving on to light, using varied colour washes from the beginning etc. I absolutely love this method (thought it can be hard to master in watercolour) and am glad to have come across such a talented painter and teacher as yourself who inspires. Thank you for the videos .

@@ChaYeonPainter88 This is true. Amazing. First time I saw wc moving dark to light - laying darks first. Really great video.

The ability to darken the watercolor portrait without using colored pencils is great

How do you decide what color to put down as a base? Like, in this video you use purple, and in some others you use green and blue?

Great Video. It would be useful to know what colours were going onto the painting as they happen. That would be a good learning tool.

    • @arvindshukla8040

I suggest yellow ochre and quin red but you can use any yellow with any red and if it looks un natural then add a tad bit of blue

like Steven Aloisi said, this is NOT a tutorial. A tutorial should include showing the palette and how the colors are mixed and a guide to the effects created with each layer. PLEASE tag this video as time lapse NOT a tutorial

you are using your brush like a pencil that's why the painting has no watercolours impact .
