Darvish is a different pitcher than in 2016. Back with Texas, Darvish was a power pitcher, regularly hitting 95 mph plus, challenging hitters with heat. His secondary pitch was a curve. Now, he's throwing cutters, nibbling corners, throwing his curve less, usually under 90mph. Not saying he can't be an effective finesse pitcher -but not the same guy. Also changed his motion with that delay and Luis Tiant turn.
I wish I could find some sort of magic to give him an injury free life. I love watching him pitch, he's an artist on the mound and every pitch is a masterpiece. Hope he gets back quickly and continues his excellence.
in the 2nd game you could tell his shoulder was hurting a bit, not surprised by a player coming back from surgery and still throwing 6 diff types of pitches
Wow this kid got some serious tommy John and can still get up to 98 at sometimes! I honestly think he's the comeback player of the year if there even was an award for that ! I think he's got a cy young chance. Darvish u are beast!!!
Yu Darvish isn't physically more prone to injury than any other pitcher. He strikes out a lot of guys, which means more pitches, and more wear on the arm. I don't get to see as much of him as I'd like because I live in North Jersey, so I get all Yankees, and Mets. He's a fun pitcher to watch, but you don't need 10 strike outs per game. Personally I think he'd do himself a favor by pitching for contact once in a while. His stuff is plenty good enough to get 1, or 2 pitch ground ball outs, and he'd eat up way more innings, probably get hurt less as well.
love the vids man! maybe on one of your vids you could just a tiny bit of background music? just a little so we can hear the music and voices of the commentators. that would be awesome
Thank you Nathaniel ~ July 31, 2017 ~ I am a dodger fan here in Los Angeles and this was helpful to focus in on Yu Darvish ~ looking good ~ CARLOS GUITARLOS 90042 USA
Yu is a very impressive strikeout pitcher, but he must avoid walks and too many pitches improperly located. If he can pitch as masterfully as he did against Piitsburgh, he will have a fantastic season.

i think everyone can agree that yu is really the most polished pitcher ever. it fucking sucks to see him get hurt.

His pitching mechanic is incredibly smooth
I hope the Yankees sign him when's free agent. Just imagine Darvish and Tanaka in a pitching rotation it will be a thing of beauty to watch.
Draven BBS nope sorry Bro he is on my Dodgers now 😂😂
who else wants to see the 2018 NLCS with the Cubs and dodgers for a third time in a row, but this time with Arrieta and Darvish switched as starters.
