This reminds me of when my sister in law and her husband got divorced. He forgot about their prenup and filed for divorce. He thought he was getting half of everything she had. Turns out he left with what he brought into their marriage. Her house and other assets were protected by the prenup. They don't have any children together but he has 2 kids she never adopted. He thought he was going to get child support too. He got nothing. When he left she was happy to be rid of him. His kids were hellion's and he never discipline them. The teenage daughter was a handful. When my sister in law got divorced she looked like a weight had been lifted from her shoulders.
Why do all these men act like they are better than their wives? I always thought marriage was a partnership, not a dictatorship.

Greg was blind to not see what he had & then think he could crawl back when it was too late. I hope OP is able to live a nice life with her cat, I hope if she decides to get married again they guy is loyal & understanding. I know she's not interested in a fancy wedding due to being older but maybe a wedding that while likely small is probably looks dream like or something while in budget. Just something nice to remember since she deserves it & also kinda unintentionally rubbing it in the mistress's face.
I wish I could see the mistress's face when everything fell apart. She was all smug showing the hints to get them divorced, she thought she won the war & was going to live the lavish life. In the end it turned out she only won the battle not the war, she already was trying to leave Greg over him being penniless with no house but now she's learning there's no escape as she's served a lawsuit over the affair. The fact she took Greg back cause thanks to the lawsuit she had nowhere to turn to & needed someone to help with earning money/shelter. Now she's living the life she never wanted & there's a likelihood OP will get something partly how the affair partner wished for one day.

I recently looked at a picture of her from shortly after we got married and I was surprised at how different she looked. She was beautiful then and she is beautiful now. It's true that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I want to hold her as much as possible.

Makeup is a magical thing. I learned in 2020 how to do makeup from 1980s David bowie music videos. Apparently it can be confused with drag queen make up though because my mom tells everyone I learned from rupaul. I have to correct her every time and tell no I learned from 1980s era David bowie. I went a little heavy on the pinks and turquoise. I matched my makeup from my eye shadow to my blush to my lipstick. Now I go for extremely natural look. You can't even tell I'm wearing any and that what I want.
