I had these for roughly 2 months. They were absolutely great for games but I found that I didn't like the close back as much as I thought I would. I switched over to DT 990 Premium 250 Ohm + ModMic 4.0 and couldn't be happier.

I ended up getting these in white. AMAZING. Best set Ive owned and Ive gone through a few. VERY comfortable too. I forget Im wearing them. The sound is clear and strong too.
As for the foam squished at top than bottom they actually come like that new. They have 3 layers with the last layer being thicker at the bottom to help seal it against your jaw/cheek.

I have a pair of Sennheiser HD380 and the headphone is still running strong in terms of audio quality. But that memory foam disintegrated 3 years after purchase. The first thing that happened was I started noticing little black flakes. Plus sweat from using it probably helped speed up the degenerative process further. Still, in terms of functionality, my old HD380 outlasted all my other headphones.

+Seth Rockwell agreed! I got a pair about 3 weeks ago off of eBay and mine are 150 ohms. What's crazy is even after seeing that there were 50 ohm ones, I still ended up with 150 ohm ones. No matter, they are fantastic and sound awesome. I'm waiting on my Fiio and Mixamp Pro to be delivered Thursday and Friday. Then I'll really see what these things can do! But right now, they sound decent from the PS4's controller, and even better on my Acer. But I got em for console gaming and not for pc gaming...

I have the G4ME ONE Sennheiser headset and I can tell you it's the best headset/headphones I have ever used. The openback design is a massive advantage over the zero having a better soundstage made the difference. Although these block out most noise, I still think the one has no problems with hearing sound from an external source. Anyways I can recommend the G4ME ONE and you are definitely getting your money's worth out of them.

Alright, so I have a quick question regarding this headset g4me-zero
They are technically only a "stereo headset" but I have purchased a Sennheiser PC323D headset in the past which uses a 3D G4ME 1 Dolby 7.1 USB adapter to produce the 7.1 surround sound. This adapter is the same one that their highest end model (PC 363D headset) also uses. Same drivers, same adapter, everything.
Basically both of the analog 3.5mm connectors from the headset connect into the adapter, which then connects to your computer through USB in order to produce the 7.1 sound. So my question is: If I were to buy the Sennheiser G4ME ZERO headset (stereo), and connected it into the 3D G4ME 1 Dolby 7.1 USB Adapter, would I get stellar 7.1 surround sound (as good as the PC363D, for example) or would the sound be off because the headset is not designed for 7.1? I'm not sure if the 7.1 designated Sennheiser headsets have mini speakers inside of the earcups in order to replicate the positional audio better or anything, so I was hoping someone else could answer this for me. Please help me!!!!!
    Thanks!

I'd love to see you try the G4ME ONE if possible. I have the G4ME ZERO and I'm actually sending them back to pick up the ONE. I really feel like the hinges on these are a huge weak point, and the ONE doesn't fold down like these do. Also, I've always been more of an open headphone kind of guy.

Since this video is 2 years old, is the Sennheiser G4me Zero still the best choice for Xbox One FPS gaming (for locating footsteps in Halo) and streaming on Twitch? Or is there a better choice now? What about a CyberX or a pure audio headphone + Antlion Modmic? Is it possible to use the Sennheiser G4me Zero or a new suggestion with the Astro A40 mixamp (from '09)? If so, will the sound be at its fullest with that mixamp concerning the 150 Ohm resistance? If not, should I get an amp like the Mayflower and can that be used with the Astro A40 mixamp? Sorry for the barrage of questions, I've done hours of research but still have some questions.

the 250€ price tag though... There are loads of cheaper (gaming) headsets out there (like my logitech g430) I think that unless you're indeed into music production or content creation such expensive headsets are defeating the "best bang for your buck" - regime I try to keep. Unless I'm really deaf and that would be a shame since I'm a musician...
This is my humble opinion, please don't hate me

So these cost around twice as much as PC350 Special edition, and they basically have the same specs, both are closed back and everyone who has used the PC350 says the sound is great.
Do they really compare to the Game Zero? i can't see it being worth it buying something more expensive just to have the same specs, but hey if Game Zero has 50 ohm now, maybe they could be?

I have to literally push on them to hear what they really should sound like. Do you have any tips on how to make the seal tighter again? Maybe not for this specific model, but for any headphones in general? Thank you for your time!

    Hello,
Today i've just received my Sennheiser G4ME ZERO. I've heard a lot of good things about it, and struggled a lot to choose between this one and the Hyper X Cloud Revolver S, but I chose this one.
So, I connect it to my pc, and i'm like : What the hell is this **** ??
Now, i'm looking to buy a new sound card, or a motherboard, because I think the problem comes from this. So my first question is, should I change the motherboard or get a new soundcard ? My motherboard is a Gigabyte Technology Co. Ltd. B75M-D3H, and I've never bought any soundcard.
My second question is : If you tell me that changing my mobo is better, will it affect something about the CPU or anything ? ( and if you could please give me a good mobo, I don't understand what he said in the video )
And my last question is : If you think that taking a soundcard is better, can you give me a good model of soundcard for playing and listening music ( because the bass on the game zero is pretty low, I would like a bit more ) ?
Also, people can hear the audio from my pc, even if I mute the microphone ( directly on the headset ), and this happens with both my old Logitech G230 and my new Sennheiser.. I don't know what's the problem but I was thinking about the sound card / mobo again ^^
By the way, I would need a pretty fast answer if possible, so if someone have the time to answer me it would be kind.
    Thanks,
    iNoxiS
PS : Sorry if my english sucks, i'm not english.

Guys where Jay says in this video about the memory foam not holding its shape look at them when you get them. They COME shaped like that. Its not a foam problem. Its to fit your head better. Bigger at the bottom and smaller at the top...just the way it should be. Jay doesn't seem to really look at stuff he reviews I dont think.

If I use the Sennheiser G4me Zero with the Astro A40 mixamp (from '09), will the sound be at its fullest with that mixamp concerning the 150 Ohm resistance? If not, should I get an amp like the Mayflower and can that be used with the Astro A40 mixamp? Sorry for the barrage of questions, I'm not experienced with amps.
