- Here's a comparison of a stock Mesa Dual Rectifier VS. Hermansson modified Mesa Dual Rectifier! I recorded a loop into a TC Ditto looper which I then played through both amps and used the exact same setting for both amps. It's a close mic'ed clip, the Shure SM57 is panned to the right and the Golden Age R1 Ribbon mic is panned to the left.
The cab is a Malmberg 4x12 with old 75Hz 25W Greenbacks.

I been playing this all night . Thanks for your work Henric . This thing feels amazing . The highs rule while the recto low end is still there is you need to go crazy for some reason lol . But fr for being tight it plays so smooth and perfectly!

Sounds killer! Very niche having an amp that tight especially when if you just clean boosted and EQ’d the Stock Recto you would get a pretty gnarly tone.

Hermansson the Marshallificator
Totally, but in this case, I consider it a bad thing. No doubt there is a lot of talent in these mods, but it's like they go so far with it that you really can't even call it a Rectifier anymore. If you need your amp "Marshallified", go buy a Marshall is my train of thought.

Hermansson modification sounds like a Badlander to a T
it beats my mark 2c+ in every fucking way; so dynamic so tight and as a bonus rectifiers are like tanks ; the top mounted mark chassis and graphic are not so able to be abused on the road

I’m skeptical. The stock amp sounded like it was dialed in purposefully to sound like absolute dog shit
I used the exact same settings for both amps. You can see the setting in the video if you watch in 1080p. The thing with a stock Mesa is that it gets looser and fuzzy’er the higher you turn up the gain, the Hermansson gets tighter the higher you turn up the gain since I’ve installed filters that works in junction with the gain controls.
