Good to see Christopher Vivell tapping into his contacts and interest in Nene Dorgeles follows on from us signing Sekou Kone in the summer. I really want to see United finding more gems and the move for Diego Leon I think is the first of many like him. United actually having a strategy? What a novel idea in the transfer market...
Vivell truly has an eye for young talents hope ineos will give him the necessary resources and freedom to sign some gems like he did with halaand at salzburg.
I'm starting to think us having Christopher Vivell is going to pay off immensely in future. He knows how to recruit players from West and Central Africa. That merged with the scouting prowess we have in South America will be worth it in the long run.
I only know nene this season but, his sprint, driblling and shotting.. He is very good prospect and without big expectetions and without a big fee in his price tag he can really be a good signing for us Sam
We will have to pay the man united tax on him wait till Salzburg say they want 50m for him it happens everytime we try and sign someone every club takes the piss with us
@summerreynolds1676 While there will most likely be a United tax, Nene's transfer evaluation is €8M, there is no way he is costing more than £10-15M even with the annoying United tax.
In my football manager 2022 save, I signed viviel that summer and he was the best signing I ever made, great knowledge and was the catalyst for a rebuild centred around youth. It was the start of a very successful period of dominance for my Utd side. Just sayin
Utd definitely missed out on some good young players but at the same time I do wonder if the environment at back then was conducive for their development
I love this new shift finding gems or potential gems. It's good for for the club and for the future. Sick of signing so called superstars and they don't work. Much prefer this career mode esc strategy.
On the contrary, I think if Caicedo & Haaland joined Man Utd directly, their careers might not be the way it turned out. Fans' impatience and pressure, coupled with the bad situation at the club. I like the way both of the went to a lesser club to develop themselves before finally making the big moves. Everything transfer is a risk though.
“ Before you sign players, you need to know what type of football you want to play? and then Sign the players who fit the Profile” ~ Ralf Rangnick 🙌🥰 We are gradually using Rangnick principles ❤
Viveill not only worked under rangnick, he was recommended by rangnick as part of his open heart surgery plan. Ineos took it up. Over the years more and more united fans will hopefully learn to appreciate the importance of his time at united. It was the start of something new, even though we couldn't see it back then because not everything was in place.
Hi Sam. Just wanted to say thanks for actually producing content and not simply regurgitating 'news' 3x a day to sow discontent and hysteria in the fanbase. One channel in particular could learn a lot from you.
I could never understand why we didn't take a chance on VVD when he left Celtic, he'd been showing himself to be levels above the Scottish PL, and yes, we'd have had to pay a bit more than Southampton, but even had he not made the impact he made at Southampton and Liverpool he'd have shown he could play in the EPL and when selling him on we'd have made our money back, if not a handy profit.
A shift from quick fix expensive signings will also hopefully solve the culture problem as well. Players will grow together and hopefully recognise that when a younger player is brought in later they need to be helped and integrated.
Utd apparently wouldn’t agree the 7m fee wanted for him and Brighton benefited …. Brighton apparently persuaded caicedo to join them with gurantee of more starts and development
My viewpoint on the lb/lwb position is that we have malacia, amas, and now leon plus the hospital patient as well, that's why United is hesitant on purchasing more.
"If Then But and only" is now the United way meanwhile the top teams just juggernaut their way on doing their business Like AF`s United used to do ensuring they had 4 or 5 top class strikers and sufficient cover for every position. Strikers were main purchases rest were home grown. Now it is off to the market to buy the next 17 year old reinforcing that glass ceiling stopping the next United Academy player coming through.
It's these kinda signings United should be making far as I'm concerned. Low risk but with extreme potential the kinda player that won't break the bank nor commend ridiculous wages. Acting far more sensible & going for these kinda talents is how Ineos wanna operate & I'm all for it. This potential signing has Christopher Vivell written all over it who imo will play a far more prominent role when it comes to signings & it seems he's already started with this deal
Liverpool generally have bought top players from midtable or foreign clubs. Virgil Southampton, Alison Roma, Salah Roma, Mane was Soton also. We should be able to do the same thing, lower the prices generally, lower the salaries and bring in hungry players who want to make the next step, with a coach that will improve them. We don't really do that, although it looks like Ineos would like to change the profile of player we buy
Appreciate what you’re saying but none of those signings were “cheap” at the time. They look like good deals now but at the time they were quite expensive.
@gsingh5767 yeh sure Alison and Virgil were 70m is, but Salah and mane were less than 70m between them, Fabinho less than 40m, Firmino 29m, the list goes on. It's not cheap, but it's less than we generally pay and there were crazy transfers happening around that time. They'd just sold Coutinho for 130m. We had bought Pogba for 89m I think, Di Maria was 63m, spent silly money on Lukaku, Martial etc. I get your point and it's not just as easy as buy these players from "lesser teams" and they'll be a success, but it's a better approach than these huge money, unsellable players we keeps getting. Casemiro, Antony, Sancho etc
@@ste4392 I agree with your overall point bro, it’s true we need to be a lot better but it’s our selling that concerns me. We can’t sell anyone, I hope a lot of these players get sold and atleast wages are off the books!
@gsingh5767 yeh agreed, I think Rashford, Sancho and Case going, even Eriksen will be great for us. Even Maguire after next year will be good to get off the wage bill. I like Maguire and he's playing well, but I think we can get a better, younger alternative for his salary
It’s too early to say how great Vivell is going to be for us but the investment into scouting and promoting youth is inline with United traditions and it’s the way forward out of the mess United has been thrust into under glazer ownership.
Why take too long for Man United started give some attention to some players in South America ? The club can find really good players from Argentina and other countries ( Even Brazil ) for £10 million deal
January transfer windows are usually like this. Not sure why you're surprised as what's happening but many clubs have quiet talks and not much is known until the medical is booked or a contract is accepted
United every year needed players out and new player in during January and it very rarely happens. So not sure why you’re surprised. Especially in England it’s all just bullshit rumors
Without hesitation, I would rather have a bet on these kinds of players than spend great money on players like Mendes whose ends product proved to be average.
Really. We shall see. United can't score goals. They need points to stay up. Performance can improve a great deal but if you do not score goals you do not win games.
I think FFP killed the excitement around the sport, especially when City and PSG keep cheating the system and real clubs with real history like United and Milan have to become cheapskates
You mean buying CHEAP young talent. That the United can pay LOW wages to. To make it cheap and sell in in 2 or 3 seasons for huge profit for Sir Jim Glazer
I am sick of tired of Manchester United approaching winger why can’t we get world class or even great central midfielders, that could hold onto our midfield, in order to create creativities, this is nevertheless most boring appeal from Manchester United, by constantly approaching wingers all the time, it literally gets boring, as it gets with all honestly

beautiful country
When the Afcon begins, it could be a problem
Yeah it could be but, if you had a time machine and travelled back to the window Liverpool bought Salah would you not want us to hijack it?
We need to sign halseth nypan
He will also Join Soon

If you recall one of SJR's interviews he mentioned that we won't buy Mbappe but rather find the next Mbappe...staying true to his word 💪💪

And enzo for 11m
It's a great strategy get them young and cheap and even if they don't light it up we can make a decent profit off them.
