I’m just frying the mixture and I now have to add the flour. I made the dough and it’s chilling in the fridge. I made six larger pies, I used my tart trays. They came out so yummy. We are going to have them for our supper with a nice fresh, green salad.

A Very Nice Recipe Sisi! But let me give a tip on potatoes. Dice them all up the way you want. As you dice them throw them in a bowl of water. when your all done you'll see how cloudy the water gets from your potatoes. But not to worry! This is the starch in the potatoes the causes your potatoes to turn a crappy color. Here's the trick throw them in the water as you cut them. Take them and rinse them with fresh water. fill your container back up with fresh water and you can Store them in the frig over night. Even if you take and dry them after rinsing they will keep just fine over night in the frig...Don't believe me? Try it with just 1 potato just for shits and giggles just wash the starch in them away right away and you shouldn't have any more trouble with that. I do it all t5he time. Trust me I learned the hard way LOL.
They look fantastic Clear and simple instructions great little gadget to cut and seal the pastery.Ive used a pinch of turmeric in my pastery gives it a fabulous golden colour .

Hi Sisi Jemimah, thanksfor this recipe. Tried your recipe for the first time but it was really hard. I tried the second time adding baking powder and turned out so good. Did you deliberately leave out the baking powder our it was an omission?

I made this it was delicious!! But i had a little problem with the dough. It was getting quite soft and stretchy when I was rolling it, I guess if I chill the dough a little that'll be fixed

i ll be trying ur meat pies but i do have 1 suggestion for i when my butter dont matter if its hard as i use my frater ro grate my butter makes the dough come together much faster an i have hand problems so this method helps me out big time in less time thanks for ur recipe s byeeee
