Synopsis
This story is about two brothers' families. Though they're real brothers, but the elder brother's wife doesn't like her brother in law and his wife at all because of which she builds up a wall in the house and divides it. Both the families start staying separately. The elder brother has two sons and the younger brother has three daughters. Their children love each other, but the elder brother's sons don't reciprocate their love for their sisters because they fear their mother. The elder brother gets his elder son married and his mother asks her daughter in law to not to talk to her brother in law's family. The youngest daughter of the younger brother is very intelligent and naive, she craves to talk to her brother's wife, but as she's afraid of her aunt she's unable to do so. As the time passes Naseeb, the daughter in law gets to know the dynamics of the house and understands that her mother in law doesn't talk to her sister in law because of her huge ego and arrogance. Naseeb gets too close to Guddi (younger brother's daughter) with time. During all this phase of changing relationships a rich boy falls for Guddi. He asks Naseeb to help him, but she refuses. He then takes help from his aunt and gets his marriage fixed to Guddi. When Naseeb's mother in law gets to know about this, she throws Naseeb out of the house and succeeds in breaking Guddi's relation/marriage as well. Naseeb's mother comes and visits Naseeb as she prophesizes that her daughter is going through a tough time. Naseeb opens up to her mother about how she tried to break her sister-in-law's marriage. Naseeb and her husband go to Manjinder's house and try to fix Guddi's and Manjinder's alliance and succeeds in doing so. The two estranged families reconcile, break down the wall in their house, and wed Guddi and Manjinder, and they live happily ever after

This movie is now become my favourite, its very different and less glamorous but beautiful. The true beauty of a village, and nice punjabi dialogues plus nice songs. Love for a family , love for a brother. I like the chemistry between bhabhi and nanad with fair positive behaviours. Simple life and true emotions. I normally dont like to watch movies again but this one , yeah why not! Its kind of reading a good quality book like bestseller of famous asian writers efforts. Hats off to all the cast n crew the writer director of this movie. Especially my favourite is bhabhi nand and hero of the movie. A classic punjabi movie. Great work guys.

Watched a punjabi movie for the first time...I didn't understand the language but still understood every bit of the story...thanks to the authentic performances by everyone! Such a simple plot but so beautifully demonstrates the delicate human relationships and importance of kindness and love towards each other. Loved it. Will definitely watch more punjabi movies now! 👍👍

I am from a small village of Pakistan and like the simplicity of our culture which we share with Indian Punjab. It's been a couple of years when I watched my first Punjabi movie "Angrej" and loved it so much that since then I prefer punjabi movies than english or hindi. These movies are so beautiful and characters like Maasi are so perfect and important that I wish I could visit the same very villages where these movies are picturised, and personally meet and thank to all the characters.
Culture of entire india is in integration.Punjab is just one of many face of it.Haryana is same in almost all aspects with Haryanvi flavour.

I love Punjabi movies and yes I agree that Punjabi movies are lot better, so neat and clean. Bollywood movies can't come in the comparison. I am not Punjabi but Gujarati, it's my love for everything from Punjab that I learned to speak and read , more than that I understand.

Indian Punjabi movies makes me realize how beautiful and colorful is the culture of Punjab (Both Pakistani & Indian Punjab). I must admit Indian Punjab, despite smaller in size and population than Pakistani Punjab, rightfully presents the true culture of Punjab that shows love, respect, tolerance, humor, and Harmony while Pakistani Punjabi Cinema fails in this regard. Pakistani Punjabi cinema can learn a lot from Indian Punjabi Cinema and I hope they will collaborate with Indian Punjab to improve their Cinema. Another thing, I have never been a fan of Bollywood and am very choosy in watching Bollywood movie and mostly they make bored, but Indian Punjabi Cinema is way better than most of the Bollywood crap. Two Thumbs up. I hope one day I can visit Indian Punjab and other parts of North India.

What a beautiful movie about family, relationships and standing for and with right, especially husbands standing with their wives to support them. It made me cry. I absolutely loved it. The standard of punjabi cinema is increasing day by day. Punjabi are more culture related and so neat and clean without any kind of dirt like bollywood . Punjabi movies are small budget but the story relates to the heart and soul . Keep progressing
Punjabis were always skillful in making movies but partition destroyed lahore movie industry and created bombay movie industry which lead to talent drain from punjab. later militancy killed the economic aspect of cinema, its now that punjabi cinema is finding its feet again and it suddenly looks that it's making progress infact it was always there. The story of Punjabi language is very similar historically, survival, upheaval, near complete destruction and revival like phoenix ! cheers

What kind of in-laws are they? They are pure monsters who judge one depending on what others say about that person. A woman should be financially, emotionally independent that's what happening now. She should take all her decision, stand strong with her opinion. No gender deserve to be oppressed by others. Divorce is far better than keeping up with such monster in-laws who can go to this extent out of jealousy. That's the only reason jab ladki equality ko support kre ppl have thousands prblm. Main guddi k jagah hoti main mud k v nhi dekhti my self respect is priority than those monster in-laws
