I’m not that keen on the striped straps. I like to wear a single colour or camo strap on my g shock, and a proper nato strap should have the second section which passes through the strap, otherwise it’s a Zulu strap?
I did this upgrade to my DW-9600. (Jays and Kays) using the metal adapters, and a bond (Dr. No) nato from Watch Candy. 😂 It really got me to start wearing the watch again as a primary and not a backup.
I saw Vario straps on another review and I made a comment and said they should make Military themed straps. They replied and said they Would be doing some in the future. Wish I had gone to their web site prior to me ordering 20mm straps for my new Phoibos.
i'm also having a hard time putting one on mine.... and when i thought i got it in it pops out lucky it's on the zulu and it kept the watch in one of the adaptor...
I wonder why no one has ever manufactured better rubber straps with milled stainless steel buckles for the more popular gshock models. Nice vanilla scent rubber that is a little longer than stock would be nice.
A 16mm band would look out of proportion. The adaptors are part of the G-shock design; so that the caseback won't take a direct hit. That impact protection was the job of the resin band, now replaced by the adaptors.
Appalachian Underground not really. A NATO strap has two layers between the watch and wrist. It’s a factor to consider, particularly if the watchback rides high. From a security standpoint, the NATO strap keeps the watch in between two metal loops, that’s preventing it from accidentally slipping off the wrist and strap
thank you and well done sir for this video. the grey strap look cool and awesome. is that adapters original casio or aftermarket? is it sturdy and durable? how is it compare to jaysandkays adapters?
I have never owned or even handled any of the Jays and Kays products. So I can't compare the two. But these are the official/original Casio adapters, and they are well made. Same material as the standard Casio straps. I would think the spring bars would probably fail before the adapters if they were subjected to an extreme load/stress.
I think all watches should come with a selection of nato straps. Then I can stand out as superior and different with my traditional merino leather straps.
I hope you aren't implying that you'll put leather on a resin G shock. Nato straps are casual wear. Leather straps are formal and look great on fancier watches in my opinion.
Just watched this video as I am getting one of these watches in the mail soon! Question: Do you have to use the adapters to put a nato strap on it, or can you just use the spring bars by themselves? I realize this video was made almost a year ago, but I hope you can answer. Thanks!
You can but it's not a good solution. Your best bet is to go with the NATO adapter. But if you want to give it a go, here's a link that might help. mywatchoftheday.blogspot.com/p/casio-g-shock-nato-strap-modification.html
Jaysandkays or strapboutique (ebay) also do a steel set with 22mm springbars, which converts the gshock to more or less a standard watch setup. I've got both and the steel are much better imo. You can easily fit a two piece nylon as well. Watch sits closer on wrist, more comfy, looks better than the plastic. J+K vid: th-cam.com/video/sKM9WfrLs6w/w-d-xo.html
Hi Neal, great video and great to see you finally got them 👍😊
Congrats on winning the contest, and hopefully there will be more in the future.

Silver NATO looks cool...
Thanks for the feature!
You guys have some fine straps!
I've bought two straps from you because of this video, give this guy discount or something :)
Thanks for sharing mate!

Sir how much does it cost for this kind of NATO STRAP FOR CASIO GRAVITY MASTER ONE. thank you very much...

really nice thank you for sharing
What are the bloody adatpers for? Why not just put a 16 mm band onto the watch?

Just a comment: is not a Nato strap, they are Zulú...
Are Nato better? Im new to this btw.
Apples and oranges

Any issues with these 2 years later?
They are still working just fine!
@@HeartofTexasArmory i appreciate it.
How water resistant is the nylon strap? How about durability 2 years later?
What size nato's are those i'm guessing 20mm?
They are quite large! 24mm NATOs!
Heart of Texas Armory appreciate the quick reply, thanks!
Do the adapters have holes for spring bars to add single straps like the Jay's and Kay's.
Not on these particular adapters. That is a useful feature! Jay's and Kay's have some nice products.

Do the adapters come with these straps when you buy them or do you have to obtain them from a separate source?
The adapters come by themselves. You'll have to source your own straps
Heart of Texas Armory I really want to do this setup with my G5600-E1.
Do you know of sources for the straps, the adapters, or both?
You get the whole kit on Amazon (NATO straps, adapters for gshock and the small tool)….
Can I use these adapters to change the band to a stainless steel bracelet band??
Any tips of getting the springbars in mine is taking ages
+Jonathan Mackie unfortunately no. It was a pain in the butt to get the spring bars seated on mine as well.
what is reference of that casio

What size is the strap?
24mm
Will they fit my gwm5610 or do I need a 22?
And thanks for the fast response
They're called 3 Ring Zulu Straps. 5 ring straps are better 💯👍
What is the width of the strap?

Im gonna buy one...
Does the adaptor fit w-96h?
Get your title right. Zulu straps NOT nato!
Is this 26mm strap or 24?
The strap adapters didnt not fit my G-shock, its a newer one, had to spend hours chipping away at it to get it to fit. Do not recommend.
Same here on a DW-5600 and Vario adapters. Don't forget to change the battery first. With the adapters in place you couldn't.

*Zulu straps
24mm it’s to big for that watch 20mm would be better I think
this seems to be zulu not nato...
