At first I could not get the pins to line up with my 5600, until I tried rotating the adapter up like a gull wing, at which point the pins would align more easily, then gently and firmly rotating it back to the proper alignment. Then it was pretty easy to replicate for the other side. So there is a trick to it.
I have bought NATO straps like yours . The adaptors fit on my G-shocks GD-100 and GA-700 but not on my non G-shock Casio W735H and WS1400H.

This video came at an opportune moment for me. I was just looking into getting a 5100 with strap adapters. I like the thin elastic strap a lot. Only concern is the amount of protrusion of the adapters past your wrist I have the same wrist size as you have and I thought it appeared bulky on the video. And I think it is a bit of a shame as well that the strap is not visible from the top of the arm like you showed. Still definitely an option for me.

Do these adapters fit the gm-b2100 full metal series ?
You can tuck the "tongue" of the strap inside the adapter instead of tucking it inside the buckle

@@brucebaelon That is genius! Thanks for sharing. I managed to just do it now with the Vario adapter. I tucked the spare strap in the adapter :) It seems to be easier with the Jay Kays, but it is still doable with the Vario adapter.
I would use the elastic one for daily life and comfort reasons, and the tough nylon one for outdoors use

Mine is on the list and it still doesn't fit. There are bunch of people on youtube lying about how easy it is to fit. These are the people that got free stuff from Vario. Tt is not, it is not easy to fit these at all. I damaged my 2 watched trying to fit these things.

Yeah same for me. Nearly destroyed my gwm5610. Too hard to get in.... My new Casioak ga2100 fit easily... So it depends
It is a difficult process. It is impossible to do without removing the case 1st.
I have changed out all 23 of my G-Shocks to a NATO strap and never had one bit of problem. You just got to make sure that you get the right adapter. Good luck
do you think the nato straps would fit a 6.1 inch wrist? maybe I might have to pull the watch back a little bit
Should be fine. My wrists measure 6.3 inches 😉
This absolutely doesnt work on my DW 5610 like others have mentioned in the comments. I've wrestled with it for over an hour until I got to the point where I was worried I'd break my watch. Im quite dissapointed.

Are there any adapters for GW500s? It seems like it's the only g shock that has its lugs set up backward!

Jay and Kays machined aluminum low profile adapters blow these away. Those are way to big and plasticky!

The thick ballistic nylon one is rougher, but it's made to be durable and resilient, NATO straps were made for military after all
So it's good to have them in your collection, specially if you do outdoors activities 👍

Jays and Kays are much better made than Vario. Don't buy Vario. It will take a month to arrive and their adapters don't fit. I damaged 2 watches trying to put on their adapters.
Hi, thanks for watching. That really sucks. Mine fitted quite easily. I bought the Jays and Kays a long time ago for another G-Shock. They are very well made.
Agreed, for 5600 and 6900. I also got some strapboutique (ebay) steel adapters same as J+Ks. Very easy to fit, way less bulky than vario; drilled lugs; turns gshock into a conventional watch with springbars; sits closer to wrist. Have mine on 2 piece nylon. Much better.
