Thanks for watching. I guess some people swap out the electronics and run on 6s but I think 4s is plenty fast for this Rock Racer. Everyone complains about the differentials not holding up and the upgraded ones are very expensive so I don't think I'll push it. It is a super fun RC to drive in it's stock form.
Awesome slow mo footage! I’ve got 2 lasernuts….each are set up a little different ….but i did take the spare of the back of both and installed a wing from a losi 8ight …used the mounting hardware and all…..looks so much better!
Thanks for watching. The wing would also provide much needed protection. Thanks for the tip. I actually like the design of the Losi 8ight. Maybe some day but for now I have plenty.
Thanks for checking it out. This is the frisbee park about 2 blocks from my house. I normally don't go there to drive because I don't want to bother others or their dogs. The cops in my town are great and crime is low but they go to the park for reports of kids driving their E-Bikes around and destroying things. So now I have just ripped my little Lasernut around and posted a video. I hope I don't get nailed for driving my "toy car" in the park.
Thanks so much for watching and the nice comment. The Lasernut is a poor Man's DBXL. I have only been to Canada once and it was magnificent. I mainly visited the tourist areas on a cruse ship along the west cost. Bushard Gardens was incredible and so was the architecture of the buildings in the big cities. Enjoy your XL-E its a real nice RC.
Thanks for watching. It takes corners much better with these tires. I'm just trying different tires that I have on hand. I would love to find something a bit taller but not as gigantic as the stock ones. I think your Rock Rey would rock out with these tires. 3.8" Badlands or Trenchers are both a good product. I'm not sure if they come belted as these ones are not but I just like the rims and hex inserts that Proline offers. 12 or 17mm inserts that are reasonably priced.
Dear friend, what is the purpose of using wide tires? I'm curious if there are any advantages. I'm using Pro-Line Racing's Hyrax U4 tires. The wide grassy field looks really good. It's an awesome slow-motion shot. The dirt being kicked up looks really cool.
Thanks so much for watching. I am so inspired by your productions. As for the tires I think they might be better for cornering. I'm just experimenting with what I have on hand. I picked up some beadlocks and tires that were the same basic height and width as stock but they are breaking loose from the rim at times. So the stock tires are basically my best choice for going over rocky terrain. The 3.8 Badlands work real nice on concrete. My next video I am going to do some hill climbs and compare the 2 tires. I'm going to check for the Hyrax U4 tires ... If they still sell them.
@@REPLAYRC Indeed. I actually like the badlands better than the trenchers. My dream would be to get some VITAVON bead lock wheel and find tires that are just a bit shorter than the 5.75" stock tires and taller that the 3.8" proline. I'm totally lost when it comes to finding anything that fits the Vitavon rims. I always end up ordering the wrong stuff.
I always enjoy your videos 😄 Thank you for sharing my friend😎🤝👍
Thank you. I enjoy yours as well. It's a great thing. Sharing from far away. 🫶

@@RCRoads Yes, 4s is often enough and is really gentler on the diffs. Great channel, just subscribed! Have a nice weekend. 👋 👋 👋

Thanks for watching Carlos.
Nice, I wonder how my rock rey would do with lower profile tires like yours.🤔🤔

@@RCRoads Oh! If it's a tire that runs well on concrete without flipping over, I'd love to try it too. 3.8 Badlands! I'll keep that in mind.
