I also did the FI spacers on my lunar TRX, but I went with the full 1” spacers, thermal blanket and I did need the longer titanium bolts. Glad to see you did them too! The shop that installed mine did it with the cab on and hopefully I won’t have any leakage issues. It took 3 guys to remove the supercharger. It’s heavy!!!! Great to see this video! Keep em coming! The TRX content is addicting!
Did you change the supercharger oil during this overhaul? I havent taken a super close look at the hellcat blower - does it have to be removed to change the oil or can it be changed without removing like Whipples?
Thank you for posting. If I ever have an issue, it maybe worth it to ship it up to where you guys are to get my TRX sorted out. I have the 8/85 Warranty on my 2023 TRX. (3900 miles on the OD not a daily driver for me)
(I have a question Tyler) I have a 2001 jeep wj. I put a pair of 32 inch tires on the jeep And now thinking of raising it because of all the scraping the tires do. I was thinking of changing the springs to 2 inch or 4 inch lift springs. I'm pretty sure if I choose 2 inch springs I won't have to replace anything else. But can I put on 4 inch springs without having to replace anything? at least nothing too expensive. Will it be harder to drive over things without tipping over if so by how much. Btw your video helped me a lot. keep up the good work!😁
4in springs will require a lot more parts, normally a adjustable front track bar, longer shocks, rear ball joint spacer, front lower control arms to correct caster and a front u-joint style drive shaft (if not already equipt) vs. a 2in spacer or springs you can get away without any of the extra parts if you don't want
Nice Job Tyler. Dose the truck drive better now. You mentioned it’s smoother. But must be loads better if the engine was burning coolant it can’t be performing to its full potential. Nice Supercharger upgrades while your in there.
The Car Care Nut channel, just had a video on head gasket issues on Toyota V8's. He said the heads or the block could warp. The sealing material on the steel gaskets is failing.
What type of lift is that? Is there a similar version that’s more suitable for doing your own work in your residence? Swapping my TRX motor with a built one and I will be lifting the cab.
You can't do head gaskets with the engine in the car unless the aluminum block and heads are absolutely perfect. Those gaskets will never last with FI. Separate the body, REMOVE the engine, strip it down send to machine shop, inspect bearings and cylinder bores make sure they are true and reassemble.
How many have you done (personally). This is the correct way to do it. And master certified dealer tech does it this way. Ive done it this way- on all headgasket jobs without issue. If the block is not straight - its usually new engine/rebuild time anyways.
Tyler, I will be buying a used TRX that is out of warranty. Should this problem have reared it's Ugly Head by 60k miles? Do you recommend an Aftermarket Warranty? If so, what brand? Thanks!
Cody Donut Operator had a Trx that sounded like it had a similar issue where coolant intrusion caused the engine to hydrolock after he turned it off and went to start it another day
Love these trucks. The fact that I see so few of these issues with a vehicle this powerful and heavy shows why they are so legendary.
I am picking up a 23 TRX tomorrow!

Any chance you could upload a supercharger removal video? Looking to do the exact same thing with those blower spacers. Thanks
Our garages share a few similarities, i have a 22' TRX and my wife just got a 392 Tuscadaro Jeep Rubicon.
Hopefully, I won’t need to repair head gasket any time soon. I really appreciate you taking the time to videotape your repair.
This is the 1st one I have seen with the issue!
Tyler, your expertise is invaluable and I want to thank you for your time and efforts.

How long did it take until the cab was ready to pull ?
Did you coat the gasket with a spray? Looked like it was kinda purple.

What belt size did you use

@@igotaction What do you mean? The block is Cast Iron!!

Just DONT DO IT!!! unless you have deep pockets to pay for the multi-inevitable repairs.
@@evilke-kneebone8025 Are you speaking from experience? TYLER, stated that he had not seen any other Hellcat Power train Vehicles with this issue??
You will love it. Great truck
How long did it take to remove the cab, and how much time do you think it will take once you have done this multiple times?
Doing it again I could do it pretty quick now that I know were everything is!
Good video but consider investing in microphone. Poor audio detracts from what would otherwise be great content.

Sounds like you should have had everything checked and Machined because aluminum warps with coolant issues
Luckily this engine has never been overheated and only suffered from loose head bolts from the factory
I saw this guy on Facebook in the same situation as you. Technician working on his own white TRX. I left some funny comments on his post.
That was me! lol
You paid how much for this truck?

That’s good old Stellantis quality

Holy shit....what a nightmare job. What were the engineers thinking?

Funny how people blow their loads on these, but they will soon be throw-aways when the chrysler quality slowly rears its ugly head.
