My small group at church had a picnic at a park today. Everyone was supposed to bring a dip and there was a competition for the best dip. I usually buy dips and not make them so I wasn't sure what to do. Then I remembered this video and came back to it for help. I made the baked potato dip one. It got the most votes and I won a giftcard. Thank you Priscilla. It was sooo good. They're wasn't any left to bring home and my husband asked if I had ingredients to make more. I did so I made some more for us at home.
I don't even really cook anymore, but I just love watching these videos they're so relaxing, feels like I've just popped round to auntie 'Cilla's house
I am in my early 20s and have lived on my own for a couple of years. I haven't really cooked because I didn't know where to start. I have learned so much from watching your channel this past year or so! Thank you so much! These recipes that you share will stick with me forever! Thank you so much!
My favourite dip is spinach dip. I heat frozen spinach until defrosted, pour over the powder of a spring vegetable simmer soup, add a block of cream cheese and stir until melted. Then add a cup of sour cream, 1-2 teaspoons of mayonnaise and a can of finely chopped water chestnuts. Serve in a hollowed out loaf of bread.
My favorite dip is an artichoke dip. It’s 4 ingredients. One 14oz can of artichokes in water, chopped, one 6-7oz can of chopped green Chili’s, one cup shredded cheddar cheese and one cup Mayo (I use Helman’s light Mayo). Mix all the ingredients and place in a oven proof dish. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly. Serve with tortilla chips, Scoops work best. I have to make up to 4x the amount because it goes so fast at a party. Even those who hate artichokes, love this dip.
Also wack the jar lid edge a few times w/ dinner knife. Helps break the seal. Thanks for all of your recipes & house ideas. Love to you & your family 💖
My mom used to make a bean dip and I make it New Years Eve ever year. It's super easy. 1lb hamburger, browned 16oz Mexican velveeta 1 can refried beans Milk (the amount is personal preference on how thin you want it) Melt and mix everything together and eat with your favorite corn chip. We like On The Border Cantina chips. I also love my "7" layer dip 1 can refried beans 1 pkg taco seasoning 2 avocado, mashed Juice of 1 lime (mixed with avocado) Small jar salsa (I use Pace medium) Chopped jalapeno (amount is up to you) 12oz sour cream Shredded cheddar or Mexican blend Tomatos, diced Green onion, sliced Black olives, sliced Layer in order and serve with Tostito scoops!
Only ever made guacamole, but I love the sound of the baked potato dip!!!! You've just reminded me it's superbowl this weekend and I have no American treats in! I know I'm in the UK so it's not as popular over here, but you'd think I'd have learnt after 21yrs with a MASSIVE nfl fan! I'm not kidding, he's obsessed 🤦♀️🤣
I’m now required to bring this dip wherever I go!! It’s one of the most amazing, easy things ever! 1 roll jimmy dean hot sausage 12 oz cream cheese 1 can original Rotel, drained Salt and pepper Tostitos (scoops are best!) Brown sausage and drain grease. Add cream cheese, cut into small cubes to melt easier, and the rotel. Melt and stir over medium-med high heat until combined. Season with salt and pepper
I’m going to make these this week just because why not on a Wednesday? lol 😂 Also #1 invest in an adjustable jar opener, my mother in law gave me one and i still have it today and it’s a lifesaver! #2 cook the bacon in the oven on a cookie sheet, space save, time saver and clean up super easy, I learned about that about a year ago & so grateful I did! #3 I too love green onions I hate cuting them even with my Henkel knives that were like a car payment so I use kitchen scissors - I have a pair just for green onions and herbs like the fresh parsley and cilantro- again time and frustration saver! Any who great recipe ideas so I just wanted to share some help ideas too to make your life easier!
I have made the sausage dip with the white queso over 100 times already!! I love it! A tip I use to open the queso is I beat it on the ground til I hear a pop.
Corn relish or gherkin dip is my favourite but my kids love "taco dip" which is just basically everything you would put in tacos or on nachos, layered in a pan and then corn chips on the side.
Corn relish dip, you will definitely find a recipe on Google, however I just make my own at home the way my Nanna taught me, a small jar of corn relish, and a pack of cream cheese on low heat till both combine, then you pop it into your dip container and let it set in the fridge, I've also tried making it with creamed corn and dill pickles but you really need that corn relish flavour.
My fave is artichoke dip! Cream cheese, mayo, sour cream, garlic, onions, artichoke hearts, parm cheese & bake it. All the ones you made look delicious!
We love taco dip. In a 9x12 baking dish layer these: 2pk cream cheese 2lbs Hamburger with 1 pk taco seasoning (or ground turkey) (or 1lb hambuger 1lb sausage) 1jar of your fav chunky salsa 2pks Mexican shredded cheese Dolup of cream chees (I do 6, 3 on both sides of dish 1 can sliced black olives Serve with tortilla chips of your choice along with lime wedges and sliced avocado! Enjoy!
My favorite dip is always Tzatziki - Greek yoghurt (Fage/Total), shredded cucumber, garlic, olive oil, vinegar, salt, dill. Pita triangles and cucumber slices for scooping up the dip!
I make a BLT dip. It's just equal amounts of sour cream and mayonnaise. Then add diced tomatoes. I usually used a can of them drained. Then I buy the real bacon pieces not the bacon bits though. Mix that all together and have it sit at least 4 hours, but overnight is best. Serve with tortilla chips or I like wheat thins. It is soooo yummy
I make a veggie dip that is delicious. I use 16oz of sour cream, 16oz of Hellman's mayo, 1 packet of the Good Seasons dry mild Italian dressing, and 1 packet of the Good Seasons dry zesty Italian dressing. Mix it all together and let it chill for a few hours or overnight so the flavors really mix together. I love it on carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, green peppers, really any veggie you like. ❤️❤️
My family loves my taco dip: layer the bottom of an aluminum throw away pan w/ refried beans, add sour cream mixed w/ taco seasoning, then add taco seasoned beef ( optional), chopped lettuce, tomatoes, mexican shredded cheese , black olives or what ever else you desire:) Asa would probably love taco dip! Thank you for another great video!!
Here's a tip on how to easily open jar lids. Gently tap the edge of the lid on a hard surface like your kitchen bench. It will pop the seal and it will open first time every time. You just have to find the sweet spot on the lid . It's usually right on the edge so if you hole the jar on its side and tap the bottom edge of the lid on the bench two or three times it should work. I have a disability with my arms and can't so alot of things so anything that lets me keep just a little bit of my independence is awesome. I was taught this trick my my occupational therapist and it's the.best advice I've ever been given lol
My favorites are my green pepper and pineapple cheese ball. We like it all year around -I love putting it in celery. I also love cream cheese and hot pepper jelly dip.
Cilla the next time you have a jar that is hard to open take the jar turn it upside down and give it a good whack on the counter top and then give the bottom a good each with your hand and that should help you to get the jar open easier
That looks so delish!!! The only thing that I would add is sliced kalamata olives to the summer dip. Olives make everything better!! Despite being a Bills fan, I still love the Super Bowl.
I make rotel dip and then add a can of wolf brand chili to it. It is so good! Also I would use balsamic vinegar instead of the apple cider vinegar in the California dip. That’s just my favorite. The balsamic vinegar doesn’t have as much tanginess to it.
My go to dip is, a jar of salsa if your choice, a block of Velveeta, and lb of burger or Jimmy deens.... Fry the meat, mix the rest in a slow cooker or on the stove. And boom. Super good on any chips Or... a can of 🌶 and a block of cream cheese. Mix in slow cooker
I love my sausage dip: Neeses sausage mild (NC Staple)(cook before adding) Cream cheese 16 oz Velvetta 1/2 black Rotel drained 2 cans Salt & pepper in a crock Pot
Can of no bean chili, with a block of velveeta, and just alittle splash of milk. Put it all together in a crockpot(low) let it melt stir occasionally. It’s the best dip ever! 👏🏻👏🏻
So the dip my husband and I love is super easy and we put it in a mini crock pot. 1lb sausage browned 1lb cream cheese 1 can rotel tomato’s and chili’s Sometimes usually get mild stuff but you can use hot or medium.
You know what Cilla I’ve never done a dip I am going try the easiest one I always buy mine but I’ve been wanted to make one myself! So excited for Súper bowl
My sister is famous in our family for making Spinach Artichoke dip. I don't really make dips, I make things for the dipping like sausage balls and use doctored up jarred spaghetti sauce or jarred salsa for it. Of course if tomatoes are in season then I make the sauces myself.
Definitely try Buffalo chicken dip, if you haven’t! It’s my family’s favorite. 2 10oz cans of chicken (or 2 cups shredded chicken), 16oz softened cream cheese, 1 cup ranch, 3/4 cup Frank’s buffalo sauce, and 1 1/2 cups of shredded cheddar. Mix it all up, top with cheese, and bake at 350 for 20ish minutes! ❤️
That’s really close to how I make it. I don’t use the ranch but I do add blue cheese crumbles. I like to shred a whole rotisserie chicken from Publix for mine.
Just dropping by to say how easy it is to regrow green onion... when you use it leave about an inch (or more) on the "stalk" then just place in a glass of water on the window sill, you will be amazed at how fast they regrow. Just cut as needed and replace the water as needed.. you will always have them fresh on hand
Sausage cheese dip. 1 large block of velveeta cheese or generic brand, 1 roll of sausage and 1 can of rotel with diced chilis. You can put you cheese and rotel in crock pot then fry your sausage. When done add to crockpot. If you are ever in a hurry just heat your cheese and rotel in microwave. If you double the recipe buy the large can of rotel
The sausage dip you made in this video i have had it with a mild sausage with velveta cheese in a crockpot and some ppl will mix the sausage with ground beef with it and serve it on the little slices of rye bread...have always called it Hanky Panky
Blue cheese dip I love watching your videos it brings a bit of light to me especially as I'm having a really bad time so thank you so much for doing these videos the green onion in the UK its called a spring onion xx

When I make my homemade potato salad, I use green onions instead of yellow or white. They taste SO good!
I make rotel dip and then add a can of wolf brand chili to it. It is so good! Also I would use balsamic vinegar instead of the apple cider vinegar in the California dip. That’s just my favorite. The balsamic vinegar doesn’t have as much tanginess to it.
