Anyone familiar with TCGs long-term should not be surprised by this at all. With the sheer amount of scalping that went on almost exactly a year ago, it's entirely expected that the remainder of impatient flippers would start heavily dumping their holds when their 10x projections didn't pan out 😂
@@CardboardKingdomBrother, just wanna say I really appreciate what you do here. It's been a huge boon to my buying confidence having an experienced collector's insight available weekly.
Comparing to what mtg used to do, standard sets were in print for most if not all of its life. Also as more people get into the game they need the cards to play it. If it cost too much they won’t get in then you start to lose people and the value would crash even more. As long as the cards are legal to use in a “standard” set, you should be able to find product easily. This is my opinion as a player and kind of a collector.
I agree with you, decks need to be reasonably affordable for the most part. With that being said a question in regards to the magic standard sets: Did those boxes have chases from a collectors POV? Or strictly playable cards?
"Disney Lorcana will be available in 10 new countries in 2024, including Spain, Portugal, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, and Mexico" Obviously some of these will get boxes in a different language but supply is still being fed in the world market...
I bought all those lower price first chapter cases yesterday, got confirmation. Then 3 hours later order was cancelled and refunded. Thats happened to me a couple times now. So that lower price isn’t guaranteed. I think everything is pushed out now and prices will go up from here on out
Disney Australia launched their online store 1-2 weeks ago. Had first chapter. I could buy first chapter for $150 US equiv all day long for 2 days. Multiple times tested out 40 units in my cart and had no problem moving to checkout. Was in stock for 2 days before sold out but was decent quantity avail. Maybe made it over to USA I only buy cases and confirmed with Disney store support they only sold individual displays/trays. Seemingly it’s the trays available moreso than cases. Last dip in US was on Aussie release a few months back. Maybe a correlation of where bulk msrp stock coming from
@@CardboardKingdomkeep up the awesome content! The price is great. The wrong people are complaining. If this moons anytime over the next 12 months it will increase odds of reprint. Steady small premium above msrp is super healthy I suppose everyone is different. My horizon is 10 + yr hold
Birmingham Event sold out - the ride isn't going to finish and yes buy buy buy @ 70% - great game to play - shame we can't play against others online with no cards, I'm enjoying playing on inktable so much
@@CardboardKingdom I can’t lie I’m pretty pissed at our FO. They just traded our best LB for a bag of chips 🤦♂️ Let me just say I was riding high with the Kingdom when they beat the Niners last year 🧑🍳 🤌
Underrated - Enchanteds that have something apart from just the enchanted finish - Aurora's Crown - hercules bracer etc!!!
👏👏👏
Seattle DLC sold out immediately. Another waitlist for me. All I see at shops is bigger and bigger crowds, from casuals to hardcore players.
Ya there is a lot of this... I played with a lifelong magic player who has outright quit after 15 years to play Lorcana.... exciting times ahead.

The PSA Mag Luffy has settled to around $180, so a pretty sweet bonus for a subscription you already had!
We take those!
I got played on that promo they kept me at sports straight bs
I’ve been enjoying the collector showcase segment. I know you have all this cool stuff, so I am interested to see more!
Thank you for the feedback, I will continue to do it!
I appreciate the info on non-card related collectibles. The magazine lead was appreciated 👍🏻
I was in Toronto. The restock did not hurt card prices. This game has at least a 10 year rd map. I’m building sealed left and right!
@@gilbertoriveramedia8437 thanks for sharing your insights Gilbert!
