Wow CP, you should be really proud of that. It's a small tool but it speaks enormously of your character. All the haters and trolls doing everything they can to put down things or people. But you go out of your way everyday to show people the good you see in things. And here you are giving back to your community and industry in a real tangible way. And your not trying to patent and throw your name on it to make money, your not even trying to sell stuff. Your honesty just doing it out of your love of tools. Never change sir, your the greatest.
@@CPthetooladdict Jan 16th to Feb 11th delivery. I figured they'll get here eventually...and probably quicker than waiting for them to hit local auto parts stores if they even show up there.
friend of mine gave me a Snap on pocket screwdriver several years ago, i really like the handle shape and texture, so i have stuck with those, and got a set of the snap on pocket prybars when they came out as well. but i want to try those lisle ones, i have never been disappointed with anything i have gotten from lisle.
It’s -5 here in New York and some how it’s warmer out in the shop then the office but it’s also colder up there then the shop in the summer we don’t have A/c out in the shop
CP, just got them the mail today and yes I like the heavy one. An yes I like the striking cap idea. An yes I would pay. But I would like to see the striking cap set as a new set. So two sets with new one having two striking cap pry bars.
I have the original Mac..bought the snap on ones and they bit bigger than Mac and looks same size or bigger than the ones showing...can tell is the plastic on the Mac and snap on one is triple as hard as new ones.. I'd bet u 25.00 bucks ..but those with softer plastic handle still nice ..I just got the other ones so not need anymore. But cool tool
Country of origin? I like that the lang/matco and the snap ons are made here. What I don’t like is that shaft in the Langs rotates in the handle when you actually try to pry with them. The snap on has been my favorite so far.
Ughhh I just bought the Matco ones last week🤦🏻 why you gotta show me more stuff I need. In all seriousness those look nice, but I’d rather just have the thicker one and one with a different end instead of light and heavy duty versions of the same style. Magnet and striking cap are both great ideas, I will be adding magnets to my Mac and Matco ones
I have had the Mac one since they came out. On my second warranty one ( I am hard on it lol). First thing into my pocket along with my penlight every morning. Great great tool.
CP your spending a ton of my money. Just dropped some on your design. 😁 Addendum. Just got my set. Awesome. My only complaint is why did they not put the magnet on both. Well a little drilling and I’ll just glue in my own neodymium magnet. 😁
I think the design originates from the angled screwdriver used for spring terminals. Wera & Wago produce them. But the strength is too weak for anything other than spring terminals.
I know people have been saying these pry bars are a new thing but I've had something similar for probably 15 or 20 years its a mini pry bar its slightly longer then these at 7in and way beefier in my opinion but no pocket clip I believe it was made by allied tools but the name wore off the handle years ago
I like the idea of the magnet on the small prybar and striking cap or through shank on the larger prybar. Im ordering a set of these Lisle pocket prybars right now.
Where are they made ? I'm not going to knock them regardless because they do seem like the best executed so far , but being American made is a personal requirement I have in many categories with pry bars of all types being one of them. I would definitely want the larger no magnet version, and the striking cap would definitely be great too but just to have it without the magnet is good enough for me. If they are American made, then absolutely I'd be willing to pay as much as $15 for just the single bigger version with the striking cap let alone $20 for a set. Hell if it was US made I'd pay $20 for just the one. I really hope these are American made, if not I'll have to keep wishing for WILDE or Mayhew to make a version that is. Mayhew is close, but no clip, and the curved one is too curved. Currently Mayhew is close, but theirs have no clip.
I really like my snap on ones but those look nice. For me the magnet is a little bit of an inconvenience. Working at a shipyard it sticks to everything I lean on without noticing.
a 4 pack of 1 curved and 1 straight with magnets and the other 2 with striking caps would be awesome, and id pay more than a dollar extra for a pocket prybar that can take hits from a hammer. but CP how about a pocket indexing prybar?
Those are sweeet I’m a fan of the square shank I never even bought the round ones on the market and most definitely a striking cap is a must on the bigger one
Kelly I hope you are doing well I appreciate you stopping by thank you so much for being a long time subscriber and supporting my channel you are a great person!! Have a merry Christmas and I hope you and your family have a fantastic holidays!!
In my opinion and experience a striking cap would be way more useful than a magnet. I’ve lost many pocket screwdrivers when the magnet catches something and I could catch it in time. But one thing to think about with the handles is keeping them small enough to fit in the chest pockets of work shirts with the pre stitched dividers. I’ve carried the Snapon for awhile and it does not always fit very well but the Mac fits perfect.
Looks pretty sweet. Already got the Mac, but this might worth getting. Worse case scenario, I got backups. Personally, I wouldn’t need a striking cap on these. When I do hit them, it’s for light duty stuff. Not like I’m knocking out pins. Pretty cool set, just might get it.
Hello CP, HENRY, & FELLOW TOOLHAULICS: Merry Christmas to All: Well Mr. CHAD I learned another lesson from you. The electric gloves are a terrific idea 💡. Why doesn't Lisle have a magnet on one mini pry bar & a impact cap on the other that way all bases are covered. Thanks again for another educational video. Please stay warm & stay safe all. TMP from N.J.
I have the Mac ones. They've since changed their clip location. I got mine a couple months ago and as you said that the bent part faces you I looked I'm my pocket, and it faces away from you now. Either way great video bro!
Those do look nice. I bought some from snap on like 2-3 months ago and I swear they are beefier than the ones you have. I can’t say for sure if they are round or square, but I wanna say they are square.
Snap-on is round and exactly the same as the lang and matco oddly enough. So unfortunately they are not as beefy for that fact and I know they don't measure out but it's really a moot point because these are bar stock hence the prybar name.
I'm glad you made this video because ive been in the market for a pocket pry bar for a while and my snap on dealer has been out of them for months. It's surprising that so few companies make quality pocket pry bars or even pocket pry bars at all. I was going to buy the Matco 3 piece set because I wanted the extra one they come with that you can't get from lang but I'm glad I waited because these are exactly what I've been looking for. Best part is they aren't overpriced either! Thanks for helping make this happen CP
Nice pocket prybars and yes i would pay more for a striking cap i would rather have a striking cap over a magnet i am all the time losing pocket screwdrivers because of the magnet getting stuck on stuck and pulling out of my pocket
I would gladly pay more for a heavy duty pocket pry bar with a striking cap. Maybe even do a 3 piece set with a straight tip pocket screwdriver included as well. Already added this set to my cart!
In my opinion the best pocket pry bars I’ve ever owned have been the Mac tools ones , they came in a two back with a square shank , one with a straight tip and the other with an angled tip , if you can’t do the job task with them then you probably need a different tool 👍🏽
Yes on the striking cap, a curved and straight in sets would be nice in all 3 sizes. I had a snap on one and loved it then lost it, so I bought the Lang set and I’m not impressed so yes.
You really have JDTCo all butt hurt. He was on a Facebook tool group saying that these were a copy of his, but that’s the tool business. Haha the only thing about these that are like his are the magnet! The best thing for business is competition

Really need a striking cap option. It would also be great to get color options.
Are these USA or imported?
Main thing is, I'd pay more $ for them to be made in USA!
Nice definitely get a set . I bought the Lisle trim tool and fuse tools and they have been great.
Well done, CP - Thanks!

Are these made in house by Lisle in Iowa? Looks like the Mayhew ones are made in USA with the square shank, but they're right at twice the price.
Out of stock as of this post ......
What about just straight and not bent? 😢

I’d like to see one with a magnet that is not so pronounced. In certain applications the magnet digs into my hand.
Can you cover different house pinch off tools, or do you already have a video on them?

I think the striking cap on the bigger one is smart, I will definitely pick up a set, lisle has been coming out with some really nice stuff 👌
I think so too!

Yes, god yes. PLEASE add a striking cap. That would be amazing.
