Honestly, in over 20 years doing the EDC thing, I’ve never had the need for a mini pry bar. I know everyone is different and has different needs however.
I'm a builder and oversized load carrier and use my prybar all the time, from tightening screws to opening jammed doors or removing door blocks. It really depends on what your average day looks like.
Gerber Prybird is the only tool of this type that I use but I've mainly used the knife. The pry has opened one tin of paint in the 3 years I've owned it. Each to their own but a basic Swiss Army Knife would be more useful to me.
@Urban Knife Guy so many things have bottle openers (cap lifters) in survival/prepping tools. You've never noticed? My keys have one, my lighter has one, paracord bracelet, I have a shovel that has for some reason one built into the spade, my wazzoo belt has one in the buckle. Etc Basically where ever there is a few cms spare they are going to put a bottle opener there.
@Urban Knife Guy I was just kidding about the video BTW. However, I would be interested in seeing the test of that dental floss. I read an article on someone saying they could lift about 2kg per strand but it gets stronger if your braid it. Lots of usage.
@AL yes I remember that and still intend to do that. Having had a chance to go out to the jungle recently as it has been raining heavily daily due to the season.

Thanks for sharing! The only time I've needed it is to open up tins of varnish or glue. But a screwdriver does the same thing. 🤣

what can you use these for except for opening cans? I can't imagine actually opening any doors with this... anyone use these for something heavy-duty?
More for paint cans and such. Nothing heavy duty IMO!
Great vid..Thank you for sharing!
Thanks and thanks for watching!

Thanks for your comment!
Great video! I have the Gerber Prybrid X as well and only use the utility blade. 😂
Thanks. Haha. You could have saved money and bought a regular craft blade 🤣
There are two survival supplies I need to buy.....
a PRY BAR and BULLETPROOF GLASS windows for my vehicle.
Fair enough! But can't be one of these tiny Pry bars.
@@urbanknifeguy bulletproof glass saves lives 💥
Can you do a video on how many bottle openers you own. 😂
1) that is a very strange request 🤣 2) I don't think I have many. Maybe a couple of these EDC tools and the rest would be SAKs.

No love for the extinct Gerber Artifact. Best ever

@James M very kind but no worries. I will hunt one down. Thanks!
