    What has been your favorite role by Desi Arnaz Jr?

    …but the one who played Little Ricky ( Keith Thibodeaux ) later became one of his closest friends and taught Desi, Jr. how to play the drums !

      I feel a MAJOR problem was Desi's identification with his father - as intelligent, attractive and creative as his father was, Desi Sr was an addict: sex, booze and gambling. Desi Jr followed suit, but I don't think he was into gambling, but more into drugs of different kinds.

    Desi jr also sang with Dean Martin jr in a group called Dino,Desi and Billy. I believe it was in the late 60’s.

    _Two of the most beautiful children, Desi Jr., and Lucy Arnaz, a by-product of love between the greatest comedy actress and her musician/actor/business mogul husband. Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz Sr. represented the most respected powerhouse television couple in America during the 1950s. I have watched every single episode of 'I Love Lucy', 'Here's Lucy(my favorite because it showcased her children as Craig and Kim Carter), 'The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour', and 'Life With Lucy'._

      @Asshats Love Johnny Depp!! Johnny Depp Es Racista!! This Video is about Desi Arnaz, jr. Go to some other channel that has a Johnny Depp v. Amber Heard video to peddle your crap. 🙄
      BTW, that tape was already gone over by both the plaintiff’s and defendant’s lawyers before it was entered as evidence in the trial. Your audio is bogus. Elaine and Rottenborn had plenty of time to object to entering it into evidence for the trial. They could have hired someone who could have the audio loudened BUT THEY DID NOT. The judge bent over backwards to appease her lawyers. Remember all those sidebars they had over the course of the trial? The Court allowed AH’s lawyers to enter those obviously staged and fake pictures. They could have hired audio experts to clean up the audios, but declined.

      After I Love Lucy my next favorite of the Lucy series is The Lucy Show, then Here's Lucy. I have enjoyed many movies Lucille Ball was in - my favorites: Lured; A Dark Corner; The Big Street; Du Barry was a Lady, Fancy Pants; Facts of Life; Easy to Wed; Yours, Mine, Ours; Long, Long Trailer; Forever Darling; Mame. The last two were not rated highly but I really enjoyed both of them. I particularly like the two she was in with Henry Fonda (The Big Street and Yours, Mine and Ours).

    Although celebrities can offer their children a lot in terms of opportunities: opening doors, meeting the right people and inheriting lots of money - there can be major drawbacks. However it is so good to hear that Desi Arnaz Jr had a good marriage, no longer drinks and takes drugs and is fulfilling himself creatively - while staying out of the spotlight. So sorry to hear that his wife tragically died of brain cancer and his granddaughter Julia Howe (changed her name to Julia Arnaz died at age 31 of breast cancer.)

      Exactly, quite frankly Lucille Ball's early life was devastating - death of her beloved father before age 4, death of mgm and maternal aunt (with whom she lived and deeply loved) early on; also her mother was gone for weeks, months, even a year or two at a time in her early years. By the age of 15 or 16 Lucy went to NYC to earn a living for herself and hopefully to make money to send to her family. Very stressful times.

      Lucie Arnaz was 1 1/2 older than her brother and seemed to not have the same problems as her brother - she was a very effective person, both professionally and personally. I think Desi Jr problem was his identification with his father who was an addict: sex, booze and gambling -before marriage to Lucy during it and afterwards. I think it was harder for Desi Jr to find his own identity - Also, he made unfortunately choices from age 15 on. Fortunately he felt that The New Life Foundation saved his life, and I believe his continues to support that organization.

    1:43 - this was his appearance on an episode of Rod Serling's Night Gallery with E.G. Marshall in 1971. He did really well. Eerily, it had a hint of what he was facing at the time. Similarly, a 1986 episode of Tales From the Darkside had Lorna Luft playing role that also had hints of what she faced as the daughter of Judy Garland. They really played the parts in their episodes very convincingly! They do have the talent, but ran into a nasty Hollywood.

    • @LJ-ht4zs
      @LJ-ht4zs ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I do not think all actors are narcissists - lots use their fame and finances to support organizations. (Danny Thomas- St. Jude's Hospital for children with cancer for example; also look up the life of Myrna Loy, in years gone by, called the Queen of Hollywood - which she left completely during the height of her fame to support the war effort. (Also many other causes to help others - rather than enhance herself .)

    • @LJ-ht4zs
      @LJ-ht4zs ปีที่แล้ว

      Early on yes - but somehow early on he looked bloated and not attractive - at all. (Same with his father in the mid 1950's Desi Arnaz Sr. was young but looked much older than his years - too much boozing, got bloated and faced lined).

    At first I thought I saw mostly his Father's looks in him but at certain angles, I see Lucy in him! It's not that obvious but it's there. He got the bulk of his looks from his dad but I wouldn't say he looks just like him either. In certain photos he looks a lot like Desi Arnaz but mostly looks like he's unrelated to both his mother and father until you see a semblance of both depending on the angle.

    Jesus Christ, who is the son of God in human form, died on the cross for the sins of every person. He was buried and rose again three days later. Eternal life is greater than anything on earth.
    it’s received by faith (trust) in Christ. John 6:47 Truly, truly, I say to you, he that believes in me has everlasting life.
    Turn away from sins and walk on the path of life ✝️

    • @LJ-ht4zs
      @LJ-ht4zs ปีที่แล้ว +2

      However, I did not hear Desi whining about mother as the daughter did - she said she felt so sorry for her father when the couple divorced - said it later in life when it was clear that the father's addictions brought on the divorce. She once said, lightly that her father always told her that his infidelities were overblown. To the contrary - they were minimized - this guy was really a sex addict, not just having some affairs on the side. While I thought he was a creative genius - the story of his sexual acting out turned my stomach; I really can't understand how his wife put up with him as long as she did.

    • @LJ-ht4zs
      @LJ-ht4zs ปีที่แล้ว

      While Desi Sr life was chaotic after the Cuban Revolution at age 16, he was brought up in luxury before that. It seemed like both his parents were lacking and narcissistic - father "dumped" the mother on Desi early on (he was 17) when he divorced her and married an American - people also commented that the father always seemed to want to have the attention - and did not grant it to his son; also his mother expected everything from Desi and seemed like she gave little back - almost treated him like a husband with all her expectations.
