    Not only is sign a beautiful language..., but it is extremely valuable. Not to mention, it's actually really fun to learn.
    Learn sign-- even just some basic sign, in case of emergency or practical social scenarios.
    It changes everything.

    hearing aids can help with ambient noise sometimes.... hard of hearing people can listen to very very loud noises. However it is important for them to have written and sound announcement so everyone understand. Hearing aids don´t mean you can hear perfectly.

    There is a service for GPs now called Sign translate, and national rail have an app for your phone which will tell you platform alternations.

    This is exactly why sign language is important to learn if your are in the frontline of your field.

    I can relate to a young woman in the train station. It's so annoying when wasting my time waiting for the next bus.

    Thank you for raisng my awareness. I didnt realise the difficulties especially for people who do not have English and are unable to write. I am in Australia and this film I am sure would be taken up by the local multicultural TV service SBS. You shoudl send it to them

    You probably can go to movie theatres now, I don't know which country you're in but in the USA there are now captioning glasses and Captiview in certain cities (just ask for them at the booth when buying you ticket and be sure to bring it back after the movie), to check if a theatre near you has a captioning option available go to captionfish [put it in google and select the 1st link], at the very top right you can input your address to find movie theatres;btw captioning glasses are better

    A comment to the doctor situation. The deaf girl should book a interpreter herself. I always do that myself.

    • @darci4434

    i have always book a interpreter BUT they said they wouldn't provide me a interpreter in short time so i have to wait for long time ( 2-3 weeks) .Or have to take my mum to sign for it. Sadly my mum's sign is basic sign. Most, i have to use paper and pen to communities with doctor which i hate it. it is really piss me off

    I agreed with second and third video but first one I feel bad for you...doctor can't sign but you have to write down on the paper English does not matter tell doctor you have PAIN and must not be ignore because this is serious. Before you goto see your doctor make sure you call deaf interpreter and let doctor that aware that you are DEAF...
    I know most doctor refuse write down on the paper because they are annoyed too...

    Hi I think at train stations there should be information for deaf people.

    @Boygasm and @bwfandk -
    it depends where you are in the world:
    here in israel Deaf people get funding for 45 hours of interpreter service each year, but they still have to find and book the interpreter by themselves, which isn't easy here..

    Hi there, this is a really good video! I would love to learn sign language but I don't know anyone who is deaf to help me, does anyone know where I could meet young deaf people in the UK? I have looked all over the internet for deaf clubs in lincolnshire but I can't find anything and to be honest I don't even know where to look. Any help would be amazing :)
