Watching this again as the end is near for my first ict...great times and memories...i remembered the day i had to give up my ic. My naive and innocent younger self thought the 3sg who took it was just borrowing it for some admin checks. Oh how was i mistaken...
These guys are already 7 years older already man omg. I started watching this in 2010 and feel like nothing have changed whenever I watch it again yet they are already ORDed so long and prob almost even finishing their ICT Cycle.
On the island of Tekong, a vision came to me. a man dressed in all white came to me. with fear and trembling i bowed down."Go serve your nation!" he said. And i replied "Not my will but urs be done!"
hi, I hope MINDEF sees this but please don't waste the time of Singaporean men , two years is a lot of our time, I have served my NS, and I think basically whatever we learn during NS, sadly it can't be applied in the outside world. And after 2 years of serving, when we go out to the real world outside (be it to continue studying or working) most of the time we are lacking behind our female counterpart in terms of skills and knowledge.
Actual u do learn a lot. For instance, if u choose combat medic or combat tech support or something u actually learn basic stuff about emergency first aid and tech support stuff.
@@sairamprasath7216 you don't have much of a choice lmao. The choices that they gave u is merely an illusion. And also, for every servicemen that is in that vocation, there are many other servicemen in vocations that don't impart real world skills like infantry/Guards.
OMG the voice of an NSman singing at the beginning, the trip to Pulau Tekong, bald heads, "adjustment issues", "rows of 3"!? The more I picture myself on my 1st day of NS (which will happen 3 years later), the more I hyperventilate out of control!!! And the more I question myself why am I destined to go through this hell hole!?
Some guys see going to tekong as a positive thing. Cause not many know that those with potential to go OCS might end up in SPF/SCDF too. Heard from friends who went through this route
Damn... I'm so jealous of the good stuff the recruits nowadays get. Oreo cookies, stylish field pack, nice canvas (ali baba) bag... can use for luggage bag in civvy life some more. One for all, all for one! Knock it down everyone~ Quite interesting to watch too. So this is what I looked like when I first joined BMT...
I remember my time during BMT and it was not a good experience. I got beaten up by 2 guys plus received a lot of "blanket" parties. Reason being, I was on the ball and wanted to go to OCS. I went to SISPEC and then got PES F due to stress. I never had any feelings of army brotherhood. I did not report the beatings to my PC during BMT because I don't want to see my platoon mates going to DB. Did I make the right decision of not reporting them? Should I have informed my PC?
Siva Balan Feel bad for you pal. I think you should have reported to your commanders. I mean if you're not a f*cked up guy they shouldn't do that to you. Take care.
Late comment, but Im sad it has happened to you bro. Cant believe that wanting to strive high is considered "different" or "wayang" in NS culture. You shouldnt let them walk over you just because they are your platoon mates.
I remember my first day, saddest day of my life. I think they didn't be able to sleep soundly on that night. It's that first night when you realize that you're really in NS. Oh well, less than a year to ORD!
how long do you serve in sinapore? in thailand we start at 15 for 3 compulsary years and 2 more optional if you dont do them 3 - 5 years you get conscripted i've don my time it was alright i guess
@shaqstudio Whoa.. three so far this year? Maybe it's from heat stroke or heat exhaustion? I mean.. Singapore is really close the the equator. I hope they look into it!
"today is actually the enlistee's first day of enlistment, a majority of them is actually feeling quite positive about the whole experience, but there's still a group of them that..." HAHAHA
Those who went for tekong training are having good life as compare to those who are go to unit directly and train. Tekong is really like a chalet instead, Food there are decent, environment is fresh (except when tonner went by). Also include free singing lesson (lol).
Just by watching this makes me heart pound and my feet cold....
Watching this again as the end is near for my first ict...great times and memories...i remembered the day i had to give up my ic. My naive and innocent younger self thought the 3sg who took it was just borrowing it for some admin checks. Oh how was i mistaken...
No one cares bro
These guys are already 7 years older already man omg. I started watching this in 2010 and feel like nothing have changed whenever I watch it again yet they are already ORDed so long and prob almost even finishing their ICT Cycle.

ENLISTING IN 4 HOURS !!!!!
EXCITED SUAH!
On my first day, at the exact moment we said goodbye to our parents at the cookhouse after lunch... it rained.
I wonder how many of these guys got cheated on by their gfs when they were away?
Sounds like what I said hours after a 6+ month naval deployment with the USN.
No more shoulder to cry on.....
This is why you don't fall into relationships.
kempaku982 about 80% of the recruits? not sure
My mum taught me this

They should show the darker, not-so-pleasant side of NS life as well.

@cyberpioneertv

"today is actually the enlistee's first day of enlistment, a majority of them is actually feeling quite positive about the whole experience, but there's still a group of them that..." HAHAHA

One thing about ns is that those who have girlfriend end up break up..Alot of story I heard...sad though
Those who went for tekong training are having good life as compare to those who are go to unit directly and train. Tekong is really like a chalet instead, Food there are decent, environment is fresh (except when tonner went by). Also include free singing lesson (lol).
