I think that a really big difference from "Happier Than Ever" and "WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP,WHERE DO WE GO?" is that when we all fall asleep was kinda created based on a persona and a character and overall the theme of sleep paralysis and monsters under your bed but happier than ever on the other hand is more raw like instead of this persona or character were receiving these real emotions and experiences from bil (not that the last album didn't give us that because it definitely did just in a different way) she even said herself despite the name of the album its actually a very sad album because of how real the emotions are, I think this is her reclaiming her power and letting everyone know the truth, pain, and trauma behind being "billie eilish"

We might not know the exact reason why she’s been so upset lately but just in case she’s been that way cause of the hate we should all know better not to send hate towards her. i like it how hes first just talking about the musik and what he liked and asking questions about that, then going kinda with the flow/whatever comes up as a topic and that kinda builds a little compfort zone so that then he can ask the more "intemit/privat" questions and get as honest and pure awnsers as possible in a way that doesnt make Billie uncompfortable and giving her the possibility to awnser them more relaxed and unpressured .
Unlike the whole rest of the internet, thats kinda putting her in a really voulerable place (that she maby also kinda put herself in buutt..) and not giving her the chance to adress anything without such pressuring harsh audience.
I mean she always will be in the complete spotlight, so that she cant be fully honest all the time and share anything, which is just protecting her, but i think, because of the immensly growning audience she has and cant controll, she just has to be more clearly and carefull with everything she says, because you never know how it ,ay spread in the end. Also we as the people who decide about the amount of valuation a public -known person gets, should always be really carefull how much value we give a person on the internet. We have to be aware of the fact that many famous people have to have a huuuge privacy space, wich consults in us never completly knowing a person on the internet, their intentions, personality etc.

every single one of her songs are amazing
MAN I love this song, there is so much in it. Firstly the instrumental is amazing, has so much contrast in it. The pulsing bass, the autotune is haunting like crying then her part in the bridge she's almost yelling with zero effects on her voice. Then the lyrics are perfect, so short and punchy but they mean so much. I instantly thought the first verse was about her life/love now and having power ("I made him sign an NDA", instead of girls signing one for guys) and the chorus was about the previous relationship and feeling powerless... and the way you can jump between those two feelings explains why they're both in the song... I love it. Great interview, Zane! She looked so comfortable.
