Three tracks that sound so different yet so complete when mixed together. Andrew Bayer knows how to keep us on our toes!

"In this EDM-era, big room music has become obsessed with high impact, instant gratification and, to be honest, absolutely uninspiring and boring arrangements. I was listening back over my favourite trance and progressive records, and remembering when dance music was about a sense of journey and progression. Records where there was more than just a breakdown and Bro-DM drops... records where you sometimes moved across what felt like three different - and equally mind-expanding - records just to get the REAL moment in the track" This guy knows what he is talking about. Praise Andrew Bayer!!!

I guess, but you know, each to his/her own opinion. There are still people like like A&Z,Temple One and Ferry Tale that have managed to keep the scene fresh but nostalgic, just like what trance has always been about :)

Josh Davis Most definitely :) A lot of the commercial EDM are just repeated garbage. But tunes like this and trance, will never get old,as they are constantly evolving, yet keeping the signature flow of its genre

Heard this my first time on shrooms, fair to say it hasn't sounded the same ever since. Absolute masterpiece; the kind of music filled with infinite feelings in it. If you're here, you got some good taste

I really want to like 6:35-8:35. I tried. But to be perfectly honest it ruins the part for me. I just don't get it. Does it symbolize some kind of Android bugging out? Is it part of the theme? Because from my perspective it is completely disjointed from the rest of the EP.
Otherwise a brilliant record from Bayer, thank you! Can't wait for Anjunabeats NA in Montreal.

+Franck Marcotte "I wanted to bring some modern, heads down, proper groovy material in there. I had heard enough of the melody by that point, and bringing it back in felt stale and obvious, especially considering this is just one part of a much bigger piece of music. I was listening to a lot of old techno at the time, and some Aphex Twin and wanted that bass section to be minimal and dark, then switch gears again (to the “chainsaw section” as Jono calls it) to the most maximal buildup I’ve ever done- then back down to minimal bass and drums. And lastly, I was going to name the track “Nobody Told Me How To Arrange A Track”, but felt it was quite long, so went for just Nobody Told Me." - Andrew Bayer
So in short he was bored of the melody and wanted to completely 180 the track. I'm not saying that I love that section, or that I wouldn't have preferred a melodic drop, but I do have lots of respect for Bayer trying new and interesting arrangements. :)smile emoticon

Franck Marcotte Damn dude, that part is pretty good, too bad you can't see what's good about it.

+Franck Marcotte I perfectly understand your point of view, at first, i thought the same , but i only heard that song in ABGT 150 in Australia, and it sounded like there was something missing after it. Now in the full version, i can see it as a transition from the 1st part to the 2nd one

I was hoping it would be something similar to Distractions - 4 beautiful movement tracks. I miss old Andrew Bayer style. Most trance Dj`s goes to commercial.
