If you took the electronic music of the 80's with those synths, the melodies of the 90's and current, put it in a blender, and constructed around the current layout of a modern piece of progressive/trance music, this is exactly what you would get. What an absolute masterpiece. Completely understand why it's called memories! It is literally a journey through time listening to this. Such a clever piece of music. Master at work again!
Honestly, this has to be my favorite track ever released on Anjunabeats. Solid production from A. Bayer. The breakdown is absolutely incredible and I cannot get enough of it. Why it didn't won push the button on ABGT 159 I don't know. Mr. Bayer, please make more belters like this. Awesome work.
Just, just amazing Andrew. I dont know how to get my words right. But, what you contribute to humanity is beyond (and above) what i can describe. I'm so looking forward to more, much love to you and you're family. Much love from the scandinavian side of the.. world
damn this is legendary. This is one of the best intro/drop to a song that I've ever heard in this genre a scene to a action thriller movie is playing in my head
Wow..this made me choke up a little bit once the progression reached its peak. this track's title matches the emotion it delivers PERFECTLY. Well done, Andrew. You are literally and truly an inspiration to me.
This blew me away on ABGT 150. Even better than Celestial! Did you notice one interesting thing? :) These shouts about 2:49 - Nitrous Oxide frequently used very similar ones when he was producing systematically for Anjunabeats some years ago. Oh, and the other thing. New Above & Beyond - ID also from ABGT 150 uses same "shout" as Memories :) Don't believe me? Well have a listen. Works great in both tracks I think.
+Joseph Ong Going from a Trance producer to absolute trash, something that sounds commercial enough to make you money more than to make you happy. I, personally, got into trance because it had a unique style to it, it had emotions and it wasn't what everyone else was producing. You're saying David Guetta is not a sell out? You're saying all the Trance producers hopped onto shitty Skrillex style dubstep for fun? No one goes "I've had so much fun making great music, what the hell I'll just use some hoover leads and produce what the biggest bunch of idiots want to listen, because clearly Skrillex is not bad enough, I've gotta add in to make it worse" Its much more than just being a sell out. Anjunabeats had the most unique and phenomenal sound to its artist. Now its all the same as any other shithouse music. And the worst part is that the fans just want to accept the defeat. So weak.
+railpressureflip You're being extremely biased. Just because it isn't trance doesn't mean it sucks. Skrillex's music is nice in its own way, it's just that you don't know how to appreciate it. Just like how big room fans don't know how to appreciate trance. Your view is music is subjective. Music genres are like trends, they fade in and out of popularity. This is just a natural process in life. Music artists are heavily influenced by the music trends at the current time, it is almost impossible for an artist to have exactly the same sound throughout his whole career. It is only natural that they get influenced by the dominant big room sounds heard nowadays. If artists do not change their sound, they will fade out of popularity and become irrelevant. By your logic, armin would have stuck to house music, Tiesto to hardstyle etc. Very few of these famous artists started off producing trance music.

I think this is one of the best tracks Anjunabeats ever released.

From 3:30 it's magical
Lord Andrew Bayer
Oh wow, an Anjunabeats song from 2015 that I don't hate to brutal death. Good to see everyone's not selling out.
Just because artists don't produce music that you like doesn't mean that they are "selling out".
+Joseph Ong You, sir, have not convinced me.
+railpressureflip well, what do you mean by the term "sell out" anyways
+Joseph Ong Going from a Trance producer to absolute trash, something that sounds commercial enough to make you money more than to make you happy.
