That’s a good stand for your first one! There are many things I would’ve changed because I’ve already built six on a tower like you have three in trees into one old utility trailers.
Let me give you some of the things I would’ve done different. These are in no particular order. Do you need rafters in the roof or that metal’s gonna sag and leak. With rafters you’ll be able to have overhang from the roof this will protect the walls from deteriorating and molding from rain also you’ll get more shade when you’re inside because the way this one is your lit up like a Christmas tree. The windows should be smaller. They need to open quietly whether they’re hinged or slide or whatever. you need to paint this thing with a good coat of primer and dark paint. The ladder coming up through the floor with a lift a patch is an easy rookie mistake I just hate that feature. I prefer an exterior stairway with the landing outside of the door that you don’t have so that would be another change. I paint the inside of my blinds flat black from the bottom of the windows up and including the ceiling which also gets Styrofoam insulation to stay warm in the winter. A tiny 1 ft.² homemade wood burning stove makes it very comfortable without causing any fogging of the windows from my propane stove.
Your excavator is awesome and I’m jealous! I’d be using it to dig water holes within 30 yards of each one of your stand locations.
My first tower had 16 foot legs at the four corners with a 4 foot platform and 30 inch high walls. No windows, no roof. We used it for almost 10 years.

Great lookin' stand. Now if we all had access to an excavator to lift our shack into position! haha Nice job!

Nice stand. The only thing i would do different would be sliding windows or fold out ones.

Couple things. I would have used treated lumber and regular plywood. OSB doesn't do well outside. Also you have to sink those legs a couple feet to be stable or guy it.

Jason Herron We use OSB on all our stands. Some 10+ years, stands up good against the weather and the porcupines don't eat it. Also I put a 5 degree pitch coming down from the base which works well to stable it

Only thing I would do differently is make the roof longer and wider so you have a 12 inch eave.

Gopro Brayton , Thanks! The stand itself is 4' x 4' sitting at roughly 16' high.

The windows are way too big and you didn't overhang the roof at all you will get water damage not to mention wet when you are hunting.

Craig Hanson Windows work for both sitting and standing, and for shooting a bow. Had a six inch overhang and in last 2 yrs of hunting have yet to get wet
