Great build all the way around. Really great build. If I may suggest one thing.... When pulling it up to station, back the tractor up and use that bucket to protect yourself if that line breaks. Great build.
that is sharp me and my wife started out hunting in the same stand then turned her loose and we hunted the 6x6 stands separate and shoved the second chair in the corner and put my chair in the middle and covered the windows up with camo netting so I could swivel the chair 360to see deer out of all windows and not bump my gun I was never sky lighted and I am 8ft.of the ground and guided down well
@@Jfannin1969 thanks for watching, unfortunately I did not make a material list, I used some lumber and stuff I already had and also made a few trips to my local lumber store
i ordered the same deluxe hinge window from deer view and am currently waiting for them to come in but dont want to stop the build process. i know the website says to rough in 1/2" higher and wider but yours looked a little snug going in. can you remember the measurements you used to rough in that 4x12 window?
@@williamafloyd9957 I had mine there to measure so I made them a little smaller but if you make the opening 1/2 in wider it should work great not a half inch on each side, so that gives you 1/4 inch on each side
Is the base 2x6 and the walls and rough 2x4 framing? In the video there were moments where it looked like the framing may have been something smaller like a split 2x6 or something.
@@jmm2002 yes I went with 2x6 for the base to have a stronger frame to mount the four post on. The walls are standard 2x4. I did split the 2x4 in half above the windows , so the windows have room to fold up , you have to do that if you use those type windows. Thanks for watching. Should have given a few more details but didn’t want it to be a too long video
Is this cheaper than buying prefabricated blinds? cost of the total build? Sorry if this is a dumb question, I didn't watch the video through so you may have addressed this question already.
Thank you Melvin. That was fantastic. Your video is very helpful. This is a future project of mine.

Thanks, Mr. Martin. I enjoyed your project. My boy and I are going to build one this year. We're building a 6'x8', and it's going to be a fun project.
Very nice

That’s a nice stand. Gonna do one of those for next season.
Nice work!
Did you post a material list? If not can you my son wants to build one and I think it would help figure out the cost. Thanks

yes this is cheaper than buying the prefabbed, with the windows included I had just under $1000. in it
Nice blind! Do you remember how much taller you made the back wall vs the other 3?
With a 1:12 pitch…the back wall would be 6” taller
Your window height is 36” from the floor?
Yes the bottom of the window is 36 inches from the floor
Nice I like that rail
How did you level it? Or was it close enough?
It was pretty close , but I dug some dirt out from under the high side post and that leveled id
Where did you get those windows?
Thanks for watching, I bought the windows from www.deerviewwindows.com
where knee pads
