Don't let this distract you from the fact that if you or a loved one has been diagnosed with mesothelioma, you may be entitled to financial compensation
Most are infants and toddlers. Ever heard of SIDS? Most babies that die from SIDS usually suffocate from some type of bedding being tangled around their face/head area.

I actually used your lighters and lung cancer example to explain this topic in a speech I wrote for my GCSE English Language exam about GMOs. Love this video.
Same, and this kind of video is fairly important in todays age when people just eat up the little sound bites the 'news' feeds them, with no critical thought.
As a scientist and medical professional - this video was so refreshing. I always get frustrated when people post things online without checking their source
This reminds me of when people started using helmets more, they noticed an increase in head injuries, but they didn’t look at the decrease in deaths. More people were injured because instead of dying they’ed be injured instead.
This question has been killing me but, Why do so many people have allergy's, and what are allergy's? (like makes you have them) I don't really know how to ask this, but I been having really bad allergy's and my face is breaking out, I have a runny and stuffy nose, my throat hurts/itches so much and I literally have to deal with this everyday but Spring time is when it gets really bad. I just really want to know why so many people has allergy's?
Because they weren't exposed to these chemical structures when they were young and now their immune system doesn't recognize them, so it assumes they are bad and tries to block them from entering your body. That's why richer people have more allergies. Their environment when they are young is literally too clean.
Has nothing to do with the video but my grandmother smoked since she was 14, she's now 65. She quit at 52. Cancer free. My mothers friend hasn't smoked a day in her life, died of lung cancer. 🤔
Rockey It is just a case of bad luck and genetics. There are plentiful of people who smoke everyday and are still old without any conditions. It just improves the chances of getting it and she is maybe the one who wasn't caught up in it. To sum up, it is not the immediate cause it may just help the process.
Rockey Look, its bad luck. Possibly to do with genetics and stuff. Smoking isnt a guarantee to get it, but it increases the chances of getting it. One of my mums friends died of liver cancer, and she didn't smoke. Smoking causes all kinds of cancers. This is some of Hamilton's lyrics. Death doesnt discriminate between the sinners and the saints, it takes and it takes and it takes and we keep living anyway.
This is why the scientific method of experiments and research is so important. You need variables, controls, valid hypothesis, and all the parts necessary for the method, in order to formulate a valid result.
United Federation of the Labor Party rama No no no. Get that out of your head. Dys=difficult Lexia=reading It doesn't make it impossible to write and read it just makes it difficult.
I can't stop stressing *how important is this topic for today's media consumption.* A generation of gullible and managable people is in the interest of many, everyone, and considering we live a click away to double-check what we're provided EVERYDAY - there's no excuse to embrace ignorance. Great video, asapSCIENCE guys. Following you was the right choice. Keep up the good work.
Something to the effect of circa 1 percent of weed smokers go on to heroin, although I don't know about heroin smokers that came from weed. Basically, if you start doing weed you're unlikely to start doing heroin.
It's also unlikely that you start doing heroin if you don't smoke weed. What's your point? What we are discussing here is if you have more chance of doing hard drugs if you do weed before, not that the chance itself is low regardless of that condition. How can you possibly miss the point by this much?
I saw this thing, which was ‘if a study says American woman who own horses live longer, it’s probably not because they own a horse but because they can afford health care’

PEOPLE DIE TANGLED IN BEDSHEETS?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?
I knew a guy who died because he fell off a bar stool and broke his neck. Pretty stupid
Not really. You break your neck, you can't breathe, you can't breathe, you die.
ikr!!
Mars Violet Some people die because of vendingmachines😂
people = babies and toddlers
66.6% correlation: Nick Cage is the devil and drowns his victims confirmed.
youarealemon it isn't even a correlation..
@youarealemon , it's a "lurking factor"! something must have caused Nicholas Cage to make movie and people drowning at same time.
dun dun dun
+Marijn Verhaeg
I think the joke is more about the actual number than how much it is (66.6 = 666 = number of the devil)
But the statement isn't comparing two variables... It's a failed joke.
Wait, so lighters don't cause cancer?
Now that's hot news.

This is a funny joke but global conflicts are at an all time low these past years
Debatable. Depends on what you call a conflict. Not everything is reported with the same amount of attention. (see: Burma) #fakenews
But more conflict is coming (see goo.gl/GIJRLX)...blame Justin Bieber

The older you get, the heavier you get
The older you get, the more your vocabulary increases
Therefore vocabulary makes you heavier
Idk why but I started laughing like crazy when you mentioned people dying tangled in bed sheets
well, being happier and having a bigger brain is definitely related to knowing how to juggle.
