Big ups to the Alpha Wolf boys for being on the show for a second time to show off their cool new toys over the past 2 years. Time flies! Who would you like to see on here next?
6 string is actually a more modern concept than 7 or 8. 7 string instruments are used in many countries just like we adopted 6 string in the USA; Gipsy Jazz, Russian Folk, et al. A well known example would be that Dovydas was classically trained on a 7 and it's still in his primary loadout slot (judging by what guitars he has customized and what he like to just grab off the rack). 8 string instruments are called "Brahms Guitars" in the classic/orchestral music world - there is a LOT of music already written for 8 string guitars and it isn't new. Why is nobody talking about the 5 string guitar? I have always wondered why I have two strings in standard tuning that are the same note - but no others are duplicated - it's seemed weird to me since the first time I picked one up in 2nd grade. I'm like "why are there two E strings?" and the teacher says "that's the way it is, now play how I say to play" and I didn't play after that until high school (French Horn/Mellophone for 6 years as a band geek, then I couldn't afford an F horn so picked the guitar back up because it's basically the only real music instrument I could get for 200 bucks). Now it makes sense and I'm testing out tuning a guitar in 7ths and maybe 9ths because I don't really get to stretch out enough as it is and that would probably add a virtual string or two to the instrument (compared to tuning in 5ths) especially on my 7's.
The funny tuning thing that Sabian seemed mixed up on is that they have their 7's tuned like low 6's with the 3rd string being an E instead of F. So their 6 string guitars are tuned like a 7 missing a string, but the other way around from what it sounded like he said.
Ibanez: *makes one of the most versatile 7 string's ever* Sab: Yo, chuck an Evertune and Fishman in it and delete the neck pickup That's why I love Alpha Wolf 😂. It's refreshing to see the opposite of gear nerds just riff out and absolutely kill it. They're so so good live.
Ha, I buy the ernie ball 7 strings pack to put on a 6 string guitar because I don't like playing 7 string guitars anymore. I also just toss the high string.
I own the black version of the LTD SN-1007 HT and man... Such a fantastic guitar right out of the box.. Dont quote me on this because I may be wrong, but I think the scalloped frets from 17-24 are to decrease friction on the fretboard for bends. 🤷♂️ I dont have the Evertune though, I just have the stock Hipshot bridge. Fishmans, stainless steel frets, locking tuners, roasted maple neck, hipshot bridge, 27" scale = take my money!! Seriously cant recommended this guitar enough. 🔥🤌

It would be great to see Void of Vision or The Gloom in the Corner here one day
Definitely Half Me or Allt when they get around to touring down here.

Damn that autocorrect 😂
B-Roll close up on the guitars was what we needed 🤌🏼
I was expecting a new guitar chat after the other nights show. Can we expect some chats with Thrown, TDWP or Invent Animate? ;)

For the record this LTD is the 3rd Alex Wade signature and yes it does not come with Fishmans but Dimarzio D-Activators 7.
And also comes with hipshot instead of evertune.
Would love to know how Sabian plays Feign with these guitars since only one string is detuned for that song

Shout out to the bro Tony at ESP.

One with Currents? Ryan or Chris
I'm a sucker for roasted maple necks
What is the scale length on Sabian’s AZ? Maybe I missed it in the video
It’s 25.5 so standard scale length
What does Keyan spell backwards?
nayeK.
This makes no sense, just like not playing an 8String...
8 strings are often huge and not comfortable to play. There, I said it.

I came to say this! Such a beast guitar that's punching way above it's class
His poor necks have a lot of relief. You can see it in the videos.
Probably to avoid fret buzz... or the guitar hasn't been setup to climate. 😅
@@hexaldecima6839I think it’s definitely the fret buzz, that low string is FLOPPY 😂
