Alpha Wolf have an incredibly enthusiastic live following. I've seen them support two technically larger acts in the UK (and seen them headline) and each time the energy of the crowd has been higher during their set than the headliners.
Yeah I don’t find their music that interesting but their live shows pop off like crazy. Definitely a band people should check out at a show
True I went to the miw show and alpha opened and everyone went hard for them more then the other bands there, except maybe knocked loose

Mitch, don’t ever say there is so many bands that sound like us. That’s not true. Anyone who is a vet in the Metalcore world can see that. Alpha Wolf has its own beauty. I see it. It’s amazing.

I literally saw Alpha Wolf at the House of Blues in Anaheim this year lmao... It was before this podcast as well, so It's hilarious to see that they don't remember playing there considering how INSANE that show was. Honestly, the best live performance I've ever seen lmao.

I went to their Headline show in Cincinnati and they kicked so much ass! Was the greatest small venue show I've been to and I've been to dozens.

I saw alpha wolf live before i ever heard them amd what won me wasnt actuslly the music itself, but that intoxicating live energy and full commitment. They opened fpr some pretty big bands amd i walked away thinking they had the best live energy amd should have been last

to strike a drum kit is to remove it from the stage when other bands are playing. you know when you see a support band playing with 6ft of space because the stage is full of the headline bands drums etc covered by a black sheet? that’s NOT striking a drum kit

craig's talked about this a few times but i don't understand. when they talk about striking drums/drum risers, what does that mean?
Headline band sets up their kit on stage and leave it there for the whole show. So support acts/drummers have to set up another kit in front of that kit.

I think Sabian is correct about ambient intros. I personally don’t like them and even when I’m listening to a new album for the first time I skip tracks with long ambience. I just want to hear the song. Most of the time an ambient intro adds nothing to the song. It’s just annoying.

With so much music coming out, increased productivity on all levels but limited leisure, as well as streaming availability where skipping is easier (no more committing to physical discs where you like 3 out of 10 songs on an album) people skip songs like HR skims CVs...first 15 seconds

1:25:00 AW would like a band with a song about parasite eve. Most alpha wolves in nature are infected by a parasite, t.gondii, which makes them less risk averse. Wolves of a pack are more likely to follow a leader that behaves as though risks don't exist; the parasite allows for the alpha to uniquely deviate from typical pack instinct without even really realizing which is apparently irresistible to followers.
