I like the Fluance turntables. You can update it over time.
Although there are options for upgrading styluses on both TTs unfortunately you can't re-balance the tonearm after replacing cartridge because the tonearms on both models don't have option for that. After changing the scock stylus for the upgraded version my LP60 started skipping more, even on new records.
All the VMN95's track the same so there's no reason to rebalance anyway - at least where the LP70 is concerned.
@Boggedy LP60 unfortunately will skip more likely. Mine did and reviews from Amazon confirmed that too. LP60 works best on their stock stylus.
Have you had any SKIPPING issues with your LP70X? I bought TWO LP 70X turntables from Amazon, and they both tend to randomly SKIP! I bought two brand new albums days before getting the lp70x tables, and am experiencing skipping😡 In most cases, they will get "hung up" and skip a few revolutions, then start playing normally. Kinda bizarre, in my experience...🤔 I've inspected the LP's under magnification, and see nothing wrong in the areas where they skip. Keep playing that lp70x, and let us know if you have this problem 👍 I'm really curious what's going on with these things ❗
Does it skip right away for you or after a few plays? I just got a new lp70xbt and the first 10 plays seems to be fine.
No skipping yet but I’ll let you know!
No issues here either!
I had the same problem and reached out to AudioTechnica’s warranty department. They sent me an upgraded stylus and mat and it fixed the problem.
@@lincolntse4330 both of mine were skipping pretty much immediately. But, then again, sometimes not at all. Hard to fix something that won't stay broken!
Hi, How can I connect the turntable to my headphones?.
Go for the LP3XBT.
Thanks for watching and for the suggestion!
Lp60 tonearm don't have bearings in the pivot point,it has a metal axle
Lp70 has bearings
Big difference
Thanks for pointing that out!
What about stylus pressure and anti skate?@@ForeverAnalog
Question On the LP70 When you press the Stop button while a record is playing does the tone arm stay down on the record or does it automatically return?
The tonearm lifts in place and returns to rest.
@ForeverAnalog Perfect thanks
LP60X has a 12" / 7" selector... How can I select the 7" disc on LP70X ?
It’s hiding near the top of the tonearm. There’s a black lever you move to select the size. Easy to overlook!
Isn't the ATVM95C cartridge on LP70X significantly better than AT3600L on the LP60X regardless of stylus used?
The stock stylus is a blue conical like the LP60s and something I'd upgrade immediately to the green elliptical.
Estava pensando a comprar o AT70, mas desisti devido a tantas reclamações de pulo nas faixas do disco .
Its not a upgrade if your new LP70 skips. Lots of reports now coming through on what can only be a Quality control issue with their new LP70. A LP3 BT would be a safer bet for a upgrade on the reliable and proven LP60XBT.
It really is unfortunate because on paper the LP70 seems like a big upgrade to the 60. In reality, however...
I'm sorry but I honestly don't understand the bluetooth versions of the AT60/70's here. I'm old enough to have been through vinyl in 80s, then replaced with CDs, then streaming, and now back to being interested again in the vinyl sound from my past. Since I'm contemplating one of these again to listen to the 10-15 vinyl I still have, there's no way I would even want to put on headphones to do that. Am I missing something here?
It’s not my favorite feature either but it’s pretty popular with younger consumers who want to listen via headphones.
@@ForeverAnalog Or wireless speakers. But I do agree the signal should ideally be analog.
@@ForeverAnalogBluetooth headphones sound awesome with this turntable
@bromptinowner763 great to know thank you for sharing!
Just buy Rega planner 3 or 4 for under 300 dollars
I bought the LP60X along with some Edifier 1280T speakers. Is this a good setup?
yeah that’s exactly what i’m going to get
You have never seen a square turntable? Look no further than the classic Technics 'jacket size' (or midi size) linear turntables. Or any midi size turntable from the 80s & 90s (which is basically what the LP60 is), for that matter.
Thanks! I avoid linear turntables as they are quite cumbersome to repair and I don't have a local repair shop near me.
@@ForeverAnalog Who are you telling this to. I have here a wonderful classic (and beloved) B&O Beogram 4004 which was my parent's turntable decades ago and has been awaiting repairs (by me) for 15+y now…
I bought the Denon DP-300F for $199 at Costco.
That’s a great deal! I’m glad you found a turntable you like!
Áudio em português do Brasil 👏👏👏
LP70x's are most assuredly prone to record skipping. I would avoid that model.
I would start with a U-Turn
I don’t believe that straight or curved tone-arms make a difference necessarily
There are $50k turntables with straight tone-arms
I have had both and would use either
There are a lot of great options in starter turntables and these would be just fine
I have a u-turn in my office! Big fan of everything except changing the belt for 45 playback lol
@ I have a Theory but I only have 33s and it has speed select
But I am thinking about adding second u-Turn and it would be a manual speed model and it would stay on 33 and I like simplicity.
I had a Technics 1210GR2 and probably got it because of nostalgia from growing up in the 60s/70s
The Theory is so much better for me
Love your channel just got a couple Rekkers for $200 on Final Call
@@middleearthltd GREAT DEAL on those Rekkrs, congrats!
@ you inspired me 🙏
I’m a low power SE tube fan but needed something for a desktop system I am building with some
OGY speakers
Is it that much of an upgrade from the LP60 I currently own
I don’t think you have to rush out an upgrade. This is more applicable for folks trying to decide which one they should buy if they don’t have a turntable.
@@ForeverAnalog thanks for the honest feedback. I think ill just replace the ATN3600LC stylus to ATN3600LE
A turntable is an analog item why should I switch to digital with a analog turntable 🤔
You mean with Bluetooth output? I agree but I think it’s a big feature with newer buyers 🤷🏼♂️
@@ForeverAnalog I think new buyers will be not happy for a long run to start with this kind turntables.
If you start with this great hobby of Hifi I think you should go with a Rega, Thorens or something like this and you can get them already for 300 Euro.
My opinion sorry
Here’s hoping they start here and work up to those great tables 🙌🏻
@@stephannordmann5346 Entry level is entry level for a reason. Its not about being Elitist my girlfriend and I just got the LP70X this past September. We used it with Bluetooth for the first week & then converted to using RCA.
in your world you want people to buy a $400 Record player + MAYBE used $100 speakers + a $200(or more) receiver + $75 preamp BEFORE they buy a single record. That's $775(roughly) could actually be much higher again before they buy a single record at almost $30 a piece.
So no buying a "automatic" record player that can connect to a speaker they already have in their house to start is a great idea. Spend less to start and understand if you like the idea of having to properly maintain your records & flipping the damn thing when its time for the second side. Not everyone is going to notice the difference between BT and analog, but for those who do they open up a wide pathway to explore more and more into the future.
Franchement elles n'ont pas l'air fiable....vu les commentaires
Both shite compared to a decent CD player.
I don’t like Bluetooth
Neither one
I find it so stupid that folks would go out and buy $40 £35 albums and can’t go out and spend good money on a real turntable. I love AT TT’S… BUT these are cheap and plasticky. Your not gonna get a listening experience at all.
Fair point, thanks for watching!
Like I just told the other guy, why spend $700+ on a hobby you might not enjoy.
@@KeenVanguard why spend $40 on an album…and ummm if you think it’s a hobby your barking up the wrong tree.
@DJStanSteel $30-40 is the average cost of a brand new record for recent music. If you don't think Hifi and collecting record isn't a hobby you should reevaluate the choices you've made in your life.
@@KeenVanguardit's all in your POV. I'm forced to use CDs because I've lost the use of my left side due to a stroke. I've given my vinyl collection to my daughter who has a vintage Technics from a venue she used to manage. She had it professionally cleaned and tuned, but she knew the old Ortofon DJ scratch cartridges had to go. So, i sent her a nice assortment of Audio Technica and Nagaoka cartridges with new headshells for them. She's well on her way. I send her great viny selections when I find them. She and her man play CDs in their vehicles. They have Klipsch outdoor speakers to enjoy both when not in the house. Streaming is convenient, putting your music on digital is too. Owning media is a forever thing if you take care of it, and you can leave it to people you love for the future
Neither, both are junk
Why’s that.. what would you recommend?
