Gotta say, Trey did a good job giving you a tour around the property. Certainly knows more about the Museum’s automotive collection then what I do, even though between him and I, I’m the one who volunteers there down at Spencer. Guess that’s a point deduction on my part. Anyways, I’m glad you enjoyed yourself at NCTM, and I’m glad you’re wanting to make a return visit. Might have to try and be down there during your next visit so you can get the insider perspective of an active volunteer there.
That’s so neat that you’re a volunteer there! It might be next year before I’m back there, but I will definitely be back. As I said in the episode, a lot more to see and learn, and I’m sure you could also add an interesting perspective.
I hope that even with the very knowledgeable train folks out there, that when they watch one of my episodes, there is something new learned or seen, or a new perspective or bit of inspiration experienced. Really glad to hear your feedback, and thankful for Trey‘s tour, of course. I hadn’t even known that there were RPO cars before, etc etc! Always something to learn!
Magnificent video inside of the Transportation Museum, showing tbe locomotives and the sleepin coaches was absolutely amazing. Thumbs up. Keep up the perfect work, my friend, you earned a new subscriber, Greetings from Portugal to the USA.
Thank you so much! And I love that you’re watching all the way in Portugal! I studied in France in college and have spent a lot of time in Europe, but still have yet to get to Portugal, but I’m hoping to go in the next year or so.
Thank you for showing us more of the train show tables, vendors, & merchandise, and exhibits at the museum. Trey was an excellent tour guide and knows his train history. I wish I attended the “Streamliners at Spencer,” NC 4 day event back in 2014. It was an event that featured over 25 historic diesel and steam locomotives with the classic paint schemes! I look forward to seeing your next train video. As always they’re well produced and a pleasure to watch! Safe travels.
Thanks for bringing us along Lisa! I visited the NC Transportation Museum / Spencer Shops back in 1990 and I'm amazed at the progress they've made since then. The grounds weren't anywhere near as nice as your video shows and the backshop where that train show was being held wasn't much more than a ruin at the time. I'll have to get back there sometime but who knows when? Thanks again! Love your enthusiasm!
Wow! So interesting to hear about how it used to be. I never visited in the 90s, but today, they have lots of events and it's quite well done, as you saw. Thanks for your nice comment and the info on the museum's evolution : )
P.S. I rode my first 7 1/2 gauge train on Sunday! I will show you on here soon☺️ but very intrigued and think it’s neat that you have a train in your yard 👍🚂
Wow Lisa . Wow That place has very lnteresting memorable so cool Thxs for the tour and thank. Trey I hope that’s his Name Right .Great video 👍🏻😎Robin out .

This looks great, you did a good job of making me want to fly out there and visit. I met you yesterday at the Live Steam club and you asked a lot of great questions and we really appreciate your taking the time to focus on a different size of the train hobby. Looking forward to seeing what you do. David.
Why hello! I was just about to thank you and your other Steamers crew for the great visit yesterday! Thank you for your feedback on my questions etc., and for showing me your Pennsylvania train. Lots to edit from yesterday, but will release that in the next couple of weeks : ) Look forward to returning to your club!
Lisa, I've watched this episode twice. There was so much information and history I had to make sure I didn't miss anything. Outstanding job of being informative and entertaining. Loved it!
Even as I spent hours editing it and was there that day, feel like I need to watch it again to retain all of the info that was shared LOL. Was there anything in particular that you found interesting or that was new to you?

Trey knows his stuff! I actually lived in High Point for several years and got to see the Thomas Bus facility up close.
He sure does! And oh, wow! That's neat that you saw the Thomas Bus facility. I hadn't known that was in High Point.
Yet another great, informative video. Thanks, Lisa!
So much to see there - so much to learn! Thanks for watching, Derrick : )

I information about the Russian train was particularly interesting. How it was retooled to US specs and how dependent the world is for US technology.
Very cool tour. I've always wondered why old firetrucks didn't have roofs?
Good question! I'll have to look into that.
Great video Lisa
Thank you so much!
Been having some of your train videos popping up in my feed recently! Nice video here!
@@RRTrainVideos Why thank you! …for your comment and for watching 🤗
I was at the train show and I use to volunteer at NCTM in the ninety with Jim Wrinn.
Oh, wow! Do you have a favorite thing you like to see at the train shows there, either at the shows specifically, or at the museum?
Hi lisa , i decided to subscribe so i can continue to enjoy your train related content !
So glad you did! ☺️ Welcome 🤗🚂🎬 You’ll find a Train Talk with Lisa playlist, and I will continue adding to it 👍👍
Pretty neat you were able to tie the real locomotives to the models.
Real locomotives to the models I'd seen in YOUR store, Dad : )
Great video Lisa.
Thank you so much! I put a lot of work into these, and it really helps to keep at it when I see comments like yours.

Great video, enjoyed the history. I have a second home close to Holden Beach. I have to stop by the museum some day.
