Hello Heidi, I love all your tutorials. You demonstrate them so well. I was wondering if you have a tutorial on how to create a complex seamless half-drop repeat pattern in Photoshop?
really nice video!! but may i ask how to save that pattern? what if i want to use the pattern on the other file? coz when i open other file, the pattern disappears in the color box! do i need to make that pattern again everytime??? thanks a lot!!
Hi, I'm still having trouble. After I add it to the swatches when I put it back on a new board the plaid square is the same size with a white box around it and doesnt fill the new box. Any idea why? Thanks
Hey there Sew, Could you please tell me what size is your original art board and then the square art board your making the pattern on? It’s not working with mine as I think my art board is too small
I don't suppose you know if you can create seamless patterns in CS3? Even when I align the edges I seem to always get white lines running through the pattern.
Am I using an artboard that is too large when I make the plaid? When I go to use the swatch for text, I don't see the plaid pattern I created, but rather, the letters seem to be lying in just one of the stripes of the plaid so that I still see mostly a solid color.

I make the pattern just fine ,but can't save it . Did you save layers ,because I didn't and cant seem to save it to the swatch library .
