Very happy to see Tracks Live back and being maintained. I’ve been using reaper for live recordings, which has its advantages too, but I love the one click swap between inputs and outputs without doing any routing. Record lock is really helpful too.
Interesting, very. But is LiveTrax compatible with Dante Virtual Soundcard? The manual says: Select your preferred audio interface from the pulldown list. DVS is my preferred soundcard :) I mean I could try since 15bucks is a bargain!
Very interesting 😮 I see that the intergration is with Allen & Heath. Will it still work with consoles like Midas M32/HD96 and Behringer X32/Wing. Are there any plans in the future for integrating these consoles? 🤔 Thanks
Does LiveTrax support recording multiple takes on a track and then choose the one we want to keep (kind of Comping Vocals but more simple) ? I will definitevley buy it but I can't currently try it since I am on vacation. It will be a great addition to Mixbus :)
When you make a new recording over the same area on the timeline it will make a new file on your disk. If you fully record over a previous area you will not see the previous "take" though it will be in your session folder. Basically LT is not meant to do takes as you are recording a linear show/podcast etc and not doing an overdub session. You can always make a new track to record another take of a vocal for instance but you wouldn't want to do that on the same track. -Nathan
@@HarrisonAudio Thanks a lot for your deep and clear answer Nathan ! Yes it's the behaviour I understood after reading the documentation but your answer will surely help someone else as well. Yes as you mentionned, the workaround I found too was to use another tracks if I need to make several takes. I think LiveTrax will suit pretty well with my Tascam Model 12. Can't wait to try all of this (I already bought LiveTrax hehe :) ).
Yes it will work great with the Tascam mixers. I want to try the new Tascam 2400. I just wish all the inputs were on the back instead of the top. It makes for a cleaner look in the studio instead of all the cables sticking up. That is how the Tascam 12 is.
Thanks for the question. 1. create a range with the range tool 2. right click on the created range and choose Loop Range 3. When you stop transport with the spacebar you can start the loop again by pressing L. -Nathan
Incredible value! I’m especially intrigued by the record lock feature, as I’ve experienced accidental stops and playback while recording a live stream; I’m more careful now, but yes a record feature on MB is something worth having!
@@HarrisonAudio Thank you for getting back so soon Nathan, that's great news ! Looking forward to this, I've been using Mixbus for many, many years so this will be a great addition to the studio
I was able to work on this. (Thanks Bangs!) The waves card has an internal network switch in it. So I just cross patched the s5000 network port to the waves card ethernet port. You still have to change your computer's network settings to a static IP to match the console range, and install the AH Midi Control app. Don't forget to go to the settings page of the AH midi control app though, as that needs to be set correctly to get everything to talk.
Excellent. Wishing the next version of Mixbus Pro has the same look regarding the Grouping tabs and Level faders appearing all in the same section at the bottom. this is so much better. Also it would be nice to see the input levels being display at the top and not what it currently is.
@@HarrisonAudio Promising. Just looks so much better and more convenient in my opinion. I've never been a fan of the level meters being part of the fader sliders. Great work by the team.
@@HarrisonAudio Interesting so those are the small strip on the left hand side next the the fader ? If so what was the change of thought to not repeating this on the Live Mixbus
Just being able to see the meters up top regardless if you have the mixer showing or not. If you are using Multi Out then the faders are disabled as you are then using the faders on the board to control the mix and the master is muted. In Stereo mode all faders function again and the master bus is sent to outputs 1 and 2 of your playback device. This is so you can do a quick mixdown on the tour bus or back on your holel when on the road.
I have been using Waves Trax to record all my live performances. the fact that it uses ardour is great making seemles intergration to Mixbus. So how is this better and what are your plans for future versions?
@@dustinthiessen I have had no issues with it on my current windows 11 sytem and it has no issues when i switch to Mixbus as both rely on ardour for the file structure. Waves is quite limited as you would expect and the fact that its not supported has a potential for an issue. However it also is very ez on my system barely taxing my cpu or hard drives when tracking as many as 32 channels live. i will probably break down and get the new Mixbus eventually.
really nice!! would be great if an ipad version could be created as there's nothing like this for iPad! and the new ipad pro s with m CPU are really beefy
Excellent! The industry needed this!
Hope you enjoy it.
Is it only for A&H mixers or can it be used with other multitrack interfaces/mixers like the x32 and wing?
You can use it with any audio interface. Switching Scenes and updating names may come to other devices later.

Downloading as soon as I get to the studio. Just received our brand new Avantis console the other day and can't wait to test this application out.
Let us know how it goes.

I used it over the weekend with great results. Recorded for 3 hours with zero issues.

Awesome! I purchased it yesterday but reaper was already set up to record, so I’ll be trying it out on the next gig.

You can use any audio interface/mixer with the software.

is it possible to export the stems recorded in livetrax in order to mixe them in any other DAW ?
Yes you can.
I purchased yesterday can't wait to use it!!!!

Does it work also with MIDI START/STOP? Thanks!
What is the connection protocol like?
in DLive Can you connect through Network ports or do you have to use some other external protocol?
For DLive you can use an ethernet cable.
@@HarrisonAudio Can you use the Network port, the GogaAce or do you have to have some other card in the console or MixRack?
Fantastic integration and solution!!
Thanks for your support.
Can I and how would I connect to the Zoom L-20 ? This would be fantastic if this is possible !
Connect the Zoom to your computer and set the input and output of LT to the Zoom. Its that easy.

It does not run on mobile devices. You need a Linux, Mac or PC computer.

This looks promising. I have to try it as a recording interface and then use mixbus 10. Especially when using many tracks and microphones.
Yeah that would work great.
Could we get a tutorial on using this with the Allen and Heath SQ series console? Particularly, how to use it for virtual sound check?
That is possible.

Tracks live hasn't been supported by Waves for a number of years, and as such is unreliable on current operating systems, so there's that for a start

@@HarrisonAudio I have the QU-32 and the Church has the QU-16 👌🏽👍🏽
I really need to update the board at my church. I can't do any multi tracking because the board doesn't have a Dante card.
So...sync only between QU, dLive, and Avanti's? No SQ? At 3:09 that's what is said...?
SQ needs to get a firmware update to sync the names.

now you should think about bringing it to iOS
Good idea
Cool! I hope I can make it work with different brand of console.
It works with any audio interface/mixer. The scene changes can be configured via MIDI.

Does it connect to the console via USB or Dante?
Either one is fine. I have it connected to the new Harrison 32Classic console via Dante and all the tracks spill out to the faders seamlessly.

Linux is also supported, looks like.
That is correct.

You are referring to Mixbus. This is LiveTrax and used for live sound environments. It doesn't have MIDI.
