Sort of, but in an opposite way. CCPA requires a consumer to take the initiative, while GDPR the advertiser has to be proactive and let the consumer know that their data is being used, and how, and give them a way out.
Ideally your website consent manager service allows you to speak to both 1st and 3rd party cookie usage, however, you are not required to use these in all markets. If you are in EU and subject to GDPR or in California with CCPA you will need to disclose all tracking (1st and 3rd party).
Actually its kinda confusing that Is that websites/ad who trace you directly and knows whatever we does in internet with the cookies they have ..... Or is that google/facebook who knows every thing about us and give those creepy ads to us. Please respond...
Well if u brows in a website that has share and like bottons, it most likely has a cookie from facebook so that it can track ur activity on that website, thus having those adds pop on fb. Tho Im not sure how this works with YT since it doesn’t inform u about the usage of cookies on u yet ads related to the videos u usually watch pop up on FB. I hope someone can explain this to us :) Or maybe Im just lazy and need to look for the answer myself xD
Can I use the CCPA act if I’m not a California resident? If I want to make a request, do I just email the website and say I want to access my data / have them delete it? Thank you!
Hey Zaryn! Fun crash course there. You should consider putting up a video on marketing via Fortnite & how it has reinvented marketing through games. Cheers!
Basically -- :/ but there are new innovations in 1st party data, many big companies like New York Times and Walgreens in the U.S. are developing their own technologies with partners to use their own customer data more effectively.

do you have any course/video explain how the funnel works for FB? all TH-camrs explain how they get sales with FB ads,but they don't talk about the FUNNEL or How to Analyze your ads :)

@@MarketHustle 3rd party cookie is not about hacking and impersonating. These are about reading the cookies your domain did not write in the first place.
good morning, please the ads on my phone is making me angry 😡which ads should I block ? 1, Allow cookies Sites will work normally 2, Block third-party cookies in Incognito Features on some sites may not work 3, Block third-party cookies Features on some sites may not work 4, Block all cookies (not recommended) Features on many sites may not work

Yes, it is stored on the browser but it can be set or deleted on the server remotely on every time you request , that's the point of the cookies. With local storage you can't do all that
Like the content, easy to follow and really helpful. I have a question, though. If I put a Google Analytics code into my website and track my visitors` behavior through that, are Google`s cookies in use? If so, is Google in that example a third party or what? It is me using it in the end, but still, it is not my own cookies?
@Market&Hustle, thank you for such an insightful explanation. Though 3rd party cookies are not phased out yet. However, whenever I am trying to download a doc from my Google Drive, I get "third party cookie blocked' icon in the url's search bar. Any thought on that? Will phasing out 3rd party cookies unable one to download files from cloud storage?
Hi.. Nice video , suppose that i have 100 pages on my website and i would like to know all the first / third party cookies loading on my site and what info they are collecting.. Is there any tool to track this data ?
A 3rd party cookie, would be installed by you to collect info (i.e. Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics, Etc.) And yes, chrome has extensions to track each social pixel and other tags (Facebook Pixel Helper, Tag Assistant by Google).

Not necessarily. It is just a diff company getting your info.

It's a 3rd party pixel technically, that they found a work around to make Browsers think it's a 1st party pixel.

@@MarketHustle Is it what they call server to server tracking?
Cookies were not invented to "enhance the user experience". They were created due to lack of server capacity to manage user state at the time.
