The hilarious thing about the Tories forcing everyone to bring voter ID is that it effects their own voters the most, as per Jacob Rees-Mogg.
It prevents the oldest and poorest from voting, unless severely mental, poor people don't vote Tory.

14,000 turned away is a minor inconvenience to allowing millions of non-citizens vote without ID.

1 person was convicted for election fraud in the 6 or 7 years prior to this legislation.
The legislation is calculated to benefit the Tories with a wider range of ID acceptable for older voters than for younger voters.

What’s wrong with having an ID card - we’re constantly asked for ID these days. Why not call it an entitlement card which allows citizens access to all state services including NHS and a range of benefits.
