I'm surprised you thought that DIY felt slicker. Out of curiosity, how did you measure each product? If you used the bottle cap for Hero (one capful per gallon), you wouldn't have had enough concentrate in there. The Hero cap only measures 1/4 of an ounce, not 1/2 oz like you need to get 256:1 dilution. I do concur with your observations about water spotting. The water in my area is about 350 ppm hardness, and Hero/Absolute/Rrw/ONR all prevent hard water spots better than DIY.
@@jeffc6832 There wasn’t a big difference in the slickness. I measured using a measuring cup to make sure I was using the exact amount. They are both nice products.
DIY does not produce water spots…they are polymer spots…just trigger spritz to wet again and dry. That is my experience anyway and they speak to this in their videos. I love the slickness, although to be fair I have only used DIY and Absolute.
I have only used DIY and Absolute, also. I got spots two days ago with Absolute when I did a rinseless wash on my car. To be fair, I live in the desert, but was under covered parking, over 100 degrees outside. I did sections at a time to completion. Although I got spots, they wiped away easily with a rinseless dampened towel (the drying towel I was using). Not a problem at all, in my opinion.
Everyone Goats the hero. I have used both. I love both. I just don’t find a large gap. I noticed the hero seems to flood the panel less and runs off almost like it provides protection. I don’t think DIY needs a version 2. I like it that much. What I do worry about is companies revamping and adding to their rinseless where they will start to streak if you don’t get the exact measurement right.
@@diydetailofficial I really hope so. What I’m noticing with brands now on their new and revised rinseless that they are trying to make it do too much and it they are extremely easy to streak.
I just went ahead and bought a gallon of DIY Rinse-less wash V2. The first one was lost by UPS, but DIY did me a solid and sent another one out. I love the DIY but have not tried the Armour HERO.
Thank you can’t go wrong either way. In a few weeks our new version comes out.
I will have to try. This is my 3rd bottle. Haha
Exactly right about the effects on the glass by Hero. Used as a water less wash.
I’m glad you agree. Thanks for watching as always!

The spots come off pretty easy with DIY. These are both good products. I’m on my 3rd bottle of DIY.

Both great rinseless washes. Try using a microfiber towel to test the lubricity of a rinseless. A majority of them feel the same under a sponge.
Great idea! Thanks!

They are very close. Thanks for watching!
You will love our V2. We were very careful revamping our best selling product.
@@diydetailofficial I wil definitely try some when it comes out. 😀
