Knoebles is actually my favorite park, it does everything right. Underrated by a lot of people who haven’t been. Cheap prices, good food, great rides, Disney level efficiency in their operations especially if running two trains on their 2 big woodies. Also imo front row Phoenix is bonkers, while Twister is best as a front row night ride. Also ride the bumper cars. Ask no questions. BTW, you MUST get the 5 for $5.75 Mama’s Pierogi’s sautéed in butter and Onion between the Oasis and power surge. So freaking amazing (specifically that location, the other Pierogis aren’t the same)

If I ever meet you in person I’ll tell you the story of how it took a day for my mom dad and younger sister to get to Mexico for spring break while I was in school. Long story short they had to get on a plane 3 separate times. Once they had to turn around because not enough gas and the other 2 times involved someone needing to get meds from their luggage and everyone having to check in again. They had to stay overnight in Georgia. On the way back my sister got the stomach bug. At least you weren’t her. I’ve never been to Kanobles. Looks fun. I live in PA. There were some pretty serious thunderstorms in Philly too. Also any wooden woodie without that intimin fart excluding lightning rod can not contend for world’s best wooden coaster. That includes voyage.
Why? Twister is great as-is. I get most 90's-built wooden coasters were trash but Twister is a gem that preserves the spirit of Mr. Twister. Knoebels couldn't afford an RMC anyway.
Twister's Golden Bolt is from Mr. Twister. They were originally going to move the entire coaster like they did with Phoenix but Mr. Twister was too far into disrepair so they cloned it with a few modifications instead.
Maybe he somehow got best because like maybe best for all ages or something? But not most intense or thrilling. Like can there really be a true number 1? Like my number 1 wooden tracked coaster is Ravine Flyer 2. And m number 1 all wooden coaster is Jack Rabbit. Yes, I still think they should be categorized separately. Steel supports have a lot more versatility that wooden supports don't.

Fun fact: before the late 70s, Mr. Twister was the world's longest, tallest and fastest coaster. It was in Boulder Colorado. Twister is a clone of it.
