    Doing mine right now. Thanks for the video. One thing I wanted to mention, my dealer said the pumps only take about 2.5 each. When I drained my pumps, I’d say less or maybe 2 or so qts came out. 2020 Zx3

    I ended up removing the 7/16 bolt on the left side and the new oil went in quick, getting the screw back in was the issue. I had telescoping pen style thing with a magnetic end that fit the bolt perfectly, it took a few tries but managed to get it back in within 5 minutes or so. The right side, I didn’t even try to get to the 7/16 bolt. I ended up filling the tank up and actually putting my mouth on the hole forming a seal and breathing hard into it creating pressure
    I had to do this before on my z2’s . now I have the z3’s and I’m glad they at least put that bolt there
    Anyway, great video, it helped refresh my memory. The mower I changed oil on today had over 1250 hrs on it, weird thing is that oil drained out looking new, other mowers it’s usually black and smells horribly

    Great tutorial Bud😎👍 Good idea backing onto ramps so, you don't need Jack stands. However, I would have probably elivated the front so that the reservoir's would be level. That 7/16" bolt defiantly looks like a pain to get too😮

    Did mine today with out touching the hard to get to air bleeder screws,i took a piece of new small fish tank hose,or clean fuel line may work.Any small hose thats small enough to fit in the Hydraulic Reservoir tank hole where you put fluid.Has to be long enough to go all way down till it stops 3feet or more,,released the air in minutes.If someone is scared like me to go messing with the bleeders ,this works.Only take a thread to far to back those bolts out and youl never get the one side back in.Or if the O ring starts leaking your screwed there to!

  • @gottabsleeved
    @gottabsleeved ปีที่แล้ว +1

    If a port bolt comes all the way out on you,electric tape the bolt head and pack it in socket so it cant fall out.Be away to get bolt started with out hurting hands try to reach up under.A hand wont fit from the top,seems like ferris could had made the steel with 2 inch less material in that area and frame would still be plenty strong.

    Great video, i had trouble with that right side as well. Did you loosen the vent after draining oil or before?

  • @galehess6676
    @galehess6676 ปีที่แล้ว

    55Nm on the 1 1/8" socket/cover of filter. I'd pull the access plate, pressure wash and blot dry, loosen 7/16" vents, then do the job. Synthetic oil breaks down slower at high temps but I could only get Valvoline VR1 at Advance Auto. Could order motorcycle synth, but not sure if that's all ok on pumps.. probably is fine and walmart supertech is cheapest

    @HandyGuy I ask you earlier about the vibration on these mowers and you said the clutch may need to be adjusted, is that a hard thing to do? I have a z1 that is smooth as glass the z3x vibrates to the point of being almost uncomfortable in the grips. Thanks for all the videos, I have wanted one of these mowers for 3 years and I really enjoy your videos on them.

    • @HandyGuy2016
      @HandyGuy2016  2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I changed the hydraulic fluid on the 61z3, I have to do my other one still but I had a hard time filling one of the pumps. The front wouldn't drain into the pump unless I pulled up on the hose to take loop out, so the hose would have more of a pitch to it. I did have both vents open.
