    Rose water for toner was my life saver. It was super hydrating and all I do is spray it on my face and pat. Then i moisturize! My skin has really improved in and it's amazing!!! For a teenager, my skin is pretty good and bouncy. I rarely breakout now cause of my skincare routine!

      Same for me, I am using Rosense (local brand here in Turkey) %100 rose water for couple of months now and it really helped my skin.
      I used to get stress related acne on my cheeks. I am still stressed(prepping for uni exams) but I no longer break out there. Rose water really calms and soothes the skin.
      I tried tonics with rose water in it but they are not effective at all. I strongly recommend PURE rose water.

    Growing up and watching my grandmother and mother doing that i thought it was something everyone did. So I've been doing it too since i was maybe twelve. The only time I have a blemish or sth like that is during my period but the pimple is gone in 2 days. And before someone says it's genetics(could be, but doubt it) know that- When I moved in with my boyfriend he had a really problematic skin, he had acne(not severe, but he has always had pimples on his cheeks and forehead, but no scars just pigmentation) so after a month or so he joined my night time routine and stopped his. Two months in his skin was balanced, his t-zone wasn't as oily and he had no dry patches. After maybe 5 months he had no pigmentation left and only a pimple or two would pop out but it was not as before. My advise is to give it a try, but remember that drinking water is also really important. Finding foods that cause a break out is important too(for him it was a refined oils, so now we are cooking only with extra virgin or some kind of sesame Oil).
    P.S. Sorry if my English was a mess. Just for info - we live in small country in Europe and our diet is not really healthy by American standards because we consume a lot of dairy products and meat, tons of vegetables but still. Those are however homemade by my family or often bought at a farmers market which are basically everywhere.

      Depends on your skin type. Mine is dry but I think that the skincare I use is perfect for every type. The only products that I have to buy at a certain price is the cleanser and the scrubber. I use honey that I have in home as a facial mask once a week, and I use oily vitamin capsules like vitamin a, vitamin e and omega 3 capsules that I buy at a very very low price (like 5 cent for three capsules for example). I also use rice water as a toner that I prepare at home with just rice that you have at home and water, and finally for moisturizer, I use lip chapstick. I Know it sounds crazy but you have no idea how good it is for the skin too. You only need a chapstick without color or perfume. So for everything above I only spend like 7 or 8 dollars in two or three months. I hope it helps!

    Amazing! So grateful to find this information, very inspiring. I've been using a very diligent (Western) skincare regimen for some time and it's paid off - I get compliments all the time despite approaching my 70th birthday. However, despite the success I've had with my routine, I've known there was something missing - this intensive, penetrating hydration method! I'm definitely incorporating this into my existing skincare. I so wish I'd had known of this approach, type of information and bounty of product when I was young! But my question is this: some of these products are no longer available. Could you please update this information? I'm especially interested in the alternative recommendation for Make P:rem Micro Essence Toner. Many thanks!

    I have oily skin and I will do the 7 Skin Method once per week (twice if I feel I need some extra hydration) using the Whamisa by Glow Recipe Green Tea Serum Toner, Earth's Recipe Energy Boosting Toner and Blithe Treatment Essence 8 Nourishing Beans. I follow this up with Whamisa Organic Flowers Damask Rose Petal Mist to eliminate any excess sticky feeling. My skin is so hydrated that I only need to apply a sleeping mask, like Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask, J. One Black Jelly Pack or LJH Probiotics Sleeping Cream, to seal it all in. I also do a 3 skin Method once per week using the aforementioned products (either all 3 toner or one of the toners and the treatment essence) and follow this up with a moisturizer, like Blithe Crystal Iceplant Pressed Serum or Huxley Cream Glow Awakening or Huxley Cream Anti Gravity, and a sleeping mask. This works perfectly for me and is a super way to boost hydration and overnight skin repair.

    Your type of skin is the goal for any girl💖. I really enjoying the 7 layers of toner and my type skin is really dry and sensitive😣 but with this method and I've seen the results really quick.💕 It looks soft and smooth but specially moisturized.

    Great! So I would like to ask, after 7 skin can we continue our skincare routine like essence moustrizer serum etc.? Or is it better if we only do 7 skin method and just moistrizer after that?

    • @Glowrecipe
      @Glowrecipe  6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Yes you can absolutely layer on treatments and moisturizers. While 7 skin can let some skin types replace heavy moisturizers for lightweight ones, if you layer your usual routine on top you'll find that hydration lasts for even longer. Hope this helps! - Christine

    I have a question. I'm very curious about using hydrating toners to mask (where you saturate cotton sheets and leave on the face similar to a sheet mask). When should this step be performed? Are all the toners shown good for this or are some better than others for masking? Any suggestions on cotton pads/sheets? Any other important tips? Thank you!! I love 7 skin so I was very curious when I heard about masking with toners!!

    • @Glowrecipe
      @Glowrecipe  6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I would choose hydrating toners, free of alcohol, exfoliating ingredients or astringent ingredients and use a thicker cotton pad so that you can separate the layers and wet them sufficiently before applying to the face. - Christine

    Hi! I’m new with this 7skin care and would like to try it. I bought a Pyunkang Yul essence toner to start. Is this done daily, and 2x a day? I usually put on niacinamide in the evening to help reduce the visibility of my blemishes. Is that ok to mix with this method? My usual routine is double cleanse, toner, niacinamide, essence, serum, moisturizer. Is there a need to change this when doing the 7skin?
    Thank you

      Hi! I'd recommend a daily double cleanse at night (simple cleansing water in the morning), a 7 skin method with the Whamisa x Glow Recipe Green Tea Serum Toner and then finishing off with a tiny pea sized amount of the Tundra Chaga Pressed Serum. Quick Questions: 1.) What toner do you recommend to use for acne-prone (comedonal), combination (T-zone = most sebum production, sensitive, very dehydrated skin? 2.) Is it better to use pure rose water as a toner just like a comment below mentioned, especially for my skin type? (comment: @jess thai) 3.) Do I perform the 7 skin regime after my cleansing or when in general?

    Why does my skin feel sticky and tacky when I apply the toners? How long should I be waiting in between each application? It looks pretty quick to me but my skin doesn’t feel like it can do it. I’ve got minimal experience with the hydrating toners so far. I’ve been gifted the Cosrx Galactomyces and Klairs Unscented Supple Preparation toners. I did have a sample of the Benton Green Tea one which seemed to be lighter and more watery, but the sample was good for about 2 uses. I’m looking at the Sioris Time is Running Out Mist, and the Soon Jung toner. As best I know, my skin is dehydrated, but I am struggling to see what hydration looks like. Sorry for such disjointed questions, lol.

    I have a product line that wasn't super cheap, but I still have a long way to go on the toner. Could I use the cleanser, toner, and then some type of oil, applied in the seven-skin fashion outlined above until my toner runs out? I've been mixing a rosehip and vitamin E oil at night into the moisturizer but I haven't been layering any of my products. Thanks for this video! Thoughts?

    I love the Whamisa toner but can only use it as that, a toner. My skin is just too sensitive to use any toner for this 3-7 skin method so I’ve been using the Belif Hungarian water essence...super soothing and works for this 3-7 skin method. I ordered LJH HA Ampoule and toner to try (on Glow Recipe, it’s got more great things in it), still waiting for shipment. If it still doesn’t work then I’ll just stick to the simple Hungarian water essence. I love most of the things I got from GR, they’re great 😍😍😍

    Hello, I found this video to be very informative and I'm wondering if you could help me. I moved from the Caribbean which is very warm and tropical to the UK which is cold. Since I moved, I have been getting breakouts and bumps all over my face that are leaving scars. I don't even know if it's acne because I have never had skin problems before. I have normal skin type not oily or dry or anything. I have been trying to deal with the breakouts but everything I try to control it isn't working. Since viewing this video I am wondering if hydration is the problem. Please help..do you think this 7 step method will heal my skin? How do I reverse my problem and get rid of the facial scars?

    • @Glowrecipe

      Hi Claire, if you're looking for an extra dose hydration, I'd recommend the LJH Grow Toner or Whamisa Deep Rich Essence Toner. You can definitely use HA-infused toners in dry climates, reapply a few times (aka 7 skin) to ensure that skin is fully soaked and then seal everything in with an emollient texture/ balm. Hope this helps! - Christine
