I never saw either, but my Dad wouldn't shut up about it for a period of time.
This song haunted the catacombs of my mind for years because of how much I watched Batman Forever.
I actually recognize it from an album from Straight No Chaser (the acapella group.)
I did watch Batman Forever and my mom had the soundtrack back when I was a wee lad. This was the only song a cared to listen to from it.
Ever since I saw Batman Forever, this song has become my favorite. There's something oddly romantic about it.

I have been waiting for YEARS for someone/ANYONE to do a real true METAL cover of this classic ballad. While the production comes across as a tad slapdash and goofy, the end results speak for themselves. SIMPLY INCREDIBLE!!!! The arrangements, the vocals, the instruments, everything is amazing!

My favorite cover of this song and probably the best one out there.
This cover has the rare quality of being equal to, if not better, than the original. I rank this among the likes of Peter Hollens' version of "Born This Way" (which was definitely much better than the original Lady Gaga version)
Everything was perfect, from both Jonathan's and Caleb's tones, to the harmonies, to the instrumentals, to even the presentation aftereffects adding a very ethereal, stadium-sound quality to it.

I dont remember much about my music classes in middle school. But for some reason, this song was played during it and above all others, stands out to me and is one of my favorite songs to this day.
This is a pretty tricky song to sing without losing the mood and sounding super lame on its own, and switching up the genre just makes it harder.
Apparently you were not aware of that because both of you absolutely nailed this! I really am amazed by how both of your voices are distinctly metal, but are conveying the original versions emotions perfectly.

One of my favorite songs done really fucking well. Fun fact: When the song was released people couldn't tell if Seal was saying "on the grey" or on the "on the grave." So when he was asked to clarify during interviews at the time, he refused to. He said that the purpose of the song is to make you feel something, so if people felt a stronger feeling with one word or the other then he didn't want to change that.
